And speaking from experience going to an Italian restaurant with a family of 8 kids when I was young, many establishments were hesitant. But after one visit and waitresses coming over after a meal and commenting on how well all the kids at our table behaved we knew it wasn’t the norm.
But we we taught manners and our roll models were strict no BS educated parents, and grandparents.
My grandma told me when I was 10 and growing up like a weed, as tall as her. She said, “when to get to a cross walk where you see an elder person, support the elbow that’s close to you and escort/help them dross the bust city street. San Francisco.
So when the 60’s came around and I had long hair, I was crossing the street and saw an old lady trying to navagate speeding cars. So I slid in behind her right elnow and said, “let me help you.” She didn’t even look up at me until we had crossed and was shocked to see a hippy helping. But hey, don’t believe the M$M.
Kids today are NOT taught good manners. Tik Tok tells all. lol
Sounds like you’re filled with hate and bigotry.
And that your world view is strictly based on your own bias.
Let a bunch of bad 10 year old’s run through the restaurant where you sell food as messy as some Italian dishes.. and you might consider this too..
Good. Guarantee this will boost their customer base.
Next child free airlines!!!!!
@truthseekers unfortunately even in first class I’ve seen rowdy children and parents who simply do not care
@S N yup. Even in first class people let their children act like maniacs. I was seated behind a ten year old having a fart competition with his brother… and the parents thought it was a hoot.
@S N You must not know how to fly. I have flown 1st Class Free more times than I’ve paid full fare for it.
Last time I flew, on a CHEAP $400. R/T from Hawaii to Oakland and back on Alaska Air.
On the return I upgraded at the gate for $100.
They refunded my baggage fees and I walked off with a full bottle of wine and a goody bag from the same stewardess who I flew over with in coach.
MUCH BETTER SERVICE
up front. Real silverware not plastic. Everything thing else is included. More than $100 worth.
@SPERTS I never have. You must not FC very often. Not many parents pay to fly their kids FC. More often they stick them in coach while they fly FC, IF they bring them at all. The MAJORITY of people who fly FC aren’t as inconsiderate as coach sardines who are all suffering from no space and lots of waiting to be served with a couple hundred other sardines. Numbers = service. You’ve seen? Through the curtains?
@truthseekers What airline was that? When I travel to Switzerland, Europe I always book with SWISS airlines and these first class tickets are very expensive. But maybe I should try a cheaper airline. 😉
Their restaurant their call. I see no problem with this. If you have a problem with this then just spend your $ elsewhere. Why would you want to be somewhere you’re not wanted
Parents are lazy and allow their children free reign
because they don’t teach their kids manners anymore, they give them an AI babysitter to raise them. It’s why we see so many teenagers stealing cars for joy rides. Weaned on GTA.
Leave the annoying kids home.
I’m thinking about reserving a huge party there for children all 10 years old like a hundred of them 😂
all trolls like you? You can afford to even go there alone. LOL Trolls “thinking” LOL
You might consider respecting their wishes instead. Take the little screamers to an appropriate restaurant that is designed for kids.
Or they could just do an up charge for families who bring in rowdy kids 😂
Even that’s not worth the headache.
You do that, and the parents will throw a tantrum just like their annoying kids. Better to just tell all of them to screw off.
@dreaming _blue true that
What about all the adults that behave like children?
YOU people should go to McD’s
@truthseekers
It’s obvious you’re not at all interested in seeking truth.
You probably believe in magic of one kind or another.
Then they’ll kick them out if they can’t behave.
Adults who don’t behave normally get kicked out or even arrested by the police. Maybe children who don’t behave should get kicked out and arrested by the police. That may solve the problem. 😉
im all for it, but at the same time isnt this discrimination?
no, just like no shirt, no shoes, no service. If they serve wine it could be a bar as well.
@truthseekers but if someone get denied a job simply bc of their age I’m sure they can sue? Correct me if I am wrong as I genuinely want to know. I have family who own restaurants and samething sick of kids trashing the place and the parent doesn’t clean it up
Not at all. Kids can’t go in a lot of places. Bars. Strip clubs. Spas.
No.
Nope, that is not discrimination! The owner of a restaurant has the right to ban children, dogs, whatever they want. It’s a private business!
cruises for adults
Restaurant for adults….that simple!!!
I support it. I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old. They are he’ll to bring to a restaurant. I always feel sorry for the people around us. My wife and I spend the majority of the time regulating them instead of enjoying our meal.
If they are misbehaving, you take them out right away and bring them back in when they can behave. You don’t just let them run around or disrupt people.
@Guy Being a Guy please, tell me more about me.
@Stevie Reed You’re not a quick learner.
If you told them how to behave at home, specially at the table, you wouldn’t have any problem and everyone would enjoy meals
@Adriana Vazquez especially* & read my whole comment, genius.
I don’t blame them. Some parents just doesn’t dicipline there kids and show them that in certain places you have to behave. Some poeple love going to a place to eat nice and quiet. For kids thats why there is chucky cheese, mc donalds,, certain pizza places. Where they can run around and make noise.
They must have a good reason for doing this. It’s just like using a public laundry and having to sweep and empty out Halloween candy from washing machines and dryers because some parents could care less about what their children do, yet alone clean up after them.
It is the small number of bad actors, who end up ruining the entire production. Perhaps if this becomes a trend, people will begin to accept responsibility for themselves and this includes their offspring.
Why not there’s adult resorts all over the world 🤷🏽♀️
But we also need adult flights to get to the adult resorts. I can’t stand these screaming children in airplanes!
Maybe when these new generation of parents stop thinking the word ‘NO’ is a four lettered word then restaurants wouldn’t have to do this.
My nephew actually said to me “My dad doesn’t believe in punishments, so I can do whatever I want!”
I told him I wasn’t his Dad.
Can you imagine if CPS wasnt called everytime a belt wasnt unleashed like in the 80s and before?
I think most restaurants should be kid free. I don’t want to hear your kid screaming about peas when I’m trying to enjoy my meal.
Millennials let their kids do whatever they want. Totally clued out fools.. Smh.
bravo
Why can we not have a single place where parents cannot bring their crying, screaming, and annoying kids. Everyone says “but they are children” so take them to someone for children. It’s their business and I would go. Nothing ruins a night out like a mother letting her kid throw a fit in the place because your baby book said to ignore it.
👏 👏 👏 We need more ❤ restaurants for Adults only! There are more than enough places to take children. Everyone should not have to be subjected the horrific chunky cheese 🧀 experience! Too many parents don’t bother to correct their children’s poor behavior… not all, but many still ruin it for others. This is the right step in the right direction. Personally I would like to see more restaurants with 21 and up.
Almen 🙏🏼🙏🏼
you can’t whoop your kids anymore so kids do what they want 🤣😂
You don’t have to whoop your kids. You can talk with them and explain them. That will do it! But many parents are too lazy to explain anything to their children.
@user-rx5qb9ou5t Your kids probably don’t even respect you …hsha
@KING 82 RC I was clever enough not to have any children! Hahaha 😁
@S N Some people don’t need children. Guess you’re one of them…😂🤣
This place looks like trash regardless. Expensive food at low portion that will not even fill you up. Waste of money
Lol I think you’re the type they are trying to weed out, no offense haha
Sound good 2 me
I agree with the ban its Just the children screaming all the time and I respect the well behaved children
Are you going to have to bring birth certificates? I don’t think they will be able to enforce it very well. If there are children there causing that much of a problem, then why not just force the family to leave and comp whatever they had until that point. I think they would lose a lot less business if they just made the parents raising hooligans. Unless the people raising the unruly children are gangsters.
Businesses don’t cater to you? Take your money elsewhere. Don’t need to whine about it.
It’s because Italians cannot stand wasted food. I’m not surprised
Last time I went to Cheesecake factory they did not have a children’s menu..
It is the restaurant manager and owners discretion. They own it, they have the right decide who they want in their restaurant. If people don’t like it, there are hundreds of other places to go. New Jersey is big.
Good call, it’s not really the kids but the bad parents.
or parents who really do not have the appropriate family structure to accommodate these situations. so everyone else has to participate in their “parenting” whether they like it or not.
More places need to do this. When I was a kid, we were not allowed to misbehave in public. Teach your kids respect and good manners. It’s not hard.
Ive been stuck on that thought all day 😕 my mom taught me not to be a terror, i didnt scream or disrupt anyone around me because its RUDE! i hate to sound like a old fart because im not but 10 years ago kids saved their antics for the park and backyard! Not out to dinner 😒
@Tater Tott Same I think kids who can’t act right shouldn’t go anywhere other than school or the playground not restaurants, hotels, vacation or anywhere that disturbs others.
Spanking is now banned and CPS will haul you into jail. Meanwhile 2 generations ago a belt took care of all this.
Great idea. To many people bring their young children and let them go wild.
Yep..if you have a problem with it just order to go
Some people do not pay any attention to their kids in places, period. As a former server and store cashier, I’ve had to parent someone else’s kids like making them get down off of high, dangerous things. Or tell them not stick their fingers in buffet food and end up throwing it out because they did Etc. There are absent-minded parents who refuse to do anything cause they don’t acknowledge its a problem. No one has time for that
another great comment.
People just gotta be mad about something right? I don’t understand what the problem is. You just go to a place that is kid friendly just like you go to a hotel that’s pet friendly. Not everybody has to accommodate you.
Well, it is a private business and can refuse service. Period. I get it. My kids ate at fine dining without problems at early ages. Not all kids are respectful.
Don’t patronize if you so chose or utilize a kid free dining experience once in a while. Restaurant made its choice; you can make yours.
They have a right of refusal. This is a stupid puff piece.
I bet people think this is going to hurt their business, it’s not!
They will do very well, there’s a good % of people that will go inthere and be able enjoy their food! and not be annoyed by children!
If I was the owner of that place I would make it a Bar and Restaurant and only allow people over 21!
Some teenagers can be more difficult than a child!
Well then DON’T GO THERE! WTF. I don’t spend money with those I don’t agree. They have the right to do it. Makes me wonder if this isn’t an ad for this restaurant.
Good! I like a screaming crying free meal when i eat out.
Despite the economic downturn, I’m happy ☺️. I have been earning $60,200 returns from my $10,000 investment every 21 days
I’m a long term investor. I withdraw my profits of over £56,000 during the covid-19 pandemic
I’m from England, I and two others of my friend’s tried her immediately we testified, her performing wonders
I haven’t seen any of her customers complain about Lost … She’s a genius, I have earned 3BTC from her
Long term investment is the best now. I invested $20,500 with Mrs Grace and i top up my trade with $500 every week. Now, I’m having over $147,345 on my dashboard. Toping up your trade is really important.
I also traded with her, profits are safe and over 100% investment returns sent directly to your wallet
I don’t blame them!
There are a lot of restaurants serving a variety of pastas, just move on with your family.
It’s sad, but unfortunately parents just let kids to be too much themselves and it’s frustrated go to eat and kids running everywhere.
Also, if any of those kids has an accident because their behavior they sue the restaurant.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but my parents made me in my childhood, behave myself and my brothers’ too. And my parents were tired with jobs, also.
Education and culture are going down.
I give my support to this policy.
I wouldnt eat anywhere else. Good for them!
Teach your kids at home.
The lady talking about the kids running around, I agree. I don’t know why people let their children run around like that.
It’s a free country, they should be able to serve who they want, it’s a PRIVATE BUSINESS!
*Should be 18+ since many high schoolers are up to no good.*
There’s so many other places that you can bring your kids being mad about ONE restaurant not allowing them shouldn’t be that concerning for them😭kids are bad majority of the time not all us get baby fever
Well kids under 9 or 10 have no business in restaurants anyway especially high class ones. They can eat at home or White Castle.
Dammit…… people are still feeding children? 🤣
I support their decision, and I wish more restaurants would follow suit.
Children under 10 are fine. It’s the parents of the kids who run around screaming that I wish were banned… everywhere.
YES! More of this!!!!
It’s a business choice, and it will pay off or it won’t.
Only compromise I can see would be to cut off seating families with kids at 7 or so, so that it’s quieted down by 9pm. And I’m sure there’s a lot of way’s that could go wrong too.
I wish more restaurants did this
@New Yorker my kids owe me their LIVES. We could’ve aborted them or thrown them out in the street so ya not only are my children given boundaries on when play is appropriate and when it is not… it is my imperative nay… my obligation to teach my children manners and proper discipline.
A restaurant is no place for play, roughhousing, mess-making, screaming, tantrums, throwing food, eating spaghetti with their hands and leaving hands prints, etcetera…
You want your children to be raised like wild DOGS be my guest but don’t expect every establishment to accommodate your lack of parental responsibility.
That’s racist!
Hardly. They don’t list race as the reason. Just age. They don’t want kids of any race there because of the noise and mess and headaches. Not to mention the adults who refuse to eat there because of the obnoxious, undisciplined, screaming kids.
@Sonomacats
Easy to say for you, as a person of no color.
My ex is a server and bartender at a sports restaurant downtown in a large city. It’s not a kid place and there’s many times where the kids run a muck crashing into him and employees or standing in the way and running around while servers are carrying hot plates and glasses. Not safe for staff or kids.
Once again this song is about nothing
Whatever their reasons, I’d never eat there again. They’re a PUBLIC business. Too many U.S.A.’ans either without small children or for other reasons treat other people’s children as nuisances THEY shouldn’t have to put up with. People in other countries treat all children AS CHILDREN.
Grow up, USA.
WRONG – they are a PRIVATE business. They can make whatever rules they choose.
A public business is one that incorporated and has gone public and has shareholders and stock that is traded on the stock market. And even they can make whatever rules they choose.
A restaurant is owed by private investors and can make their own rules! So this restaurant is PRIVATE and not public! Or do you think this restaurant and all other restaurants belong to the government and are public? Most probably you also thing that grocery stores, banks, twitter, Macy’s for example are public. Not they are not! These are all PRIVATE companies.
You find adult restaurants, adult resorts, adult spa’s, ect in every country.
i am ALL FOR environments with no kids….. they disrupt EVERYONES peace
just bring the kids to chuck e cheese where they belong
kids nowadays are menaces who cause chaos literally everywhere
100% agree with Nettie’s. Can not compare a casual pizza place with a nice restaurant….
“they don’t want to pay for a babysitter” You beotch
Good for Netties! Nice to eat out without the screamers destroying your meal.
Kids shouldn’t just not be aborted out of the womb, they shouldn’t be aborted out of communitable participation in their society, either. But responsible adults should be on their backs and not be lazy about it.
Agreed 100000000%. Parents are not doing any parenting.
Netties sucks horse ****
EVIL NEDDIES – TURNING INTO GERMANY – I LOVE KIDS!!! KIDS RULE!!! ! A WORLD WITHOUT KIDS IS A STUPID WORLD
Why should they be in hot water? As long as there are big signs up so customers are aware before they dine there then who cares? There is a million Italian resturaunts and I would just take my kids somewhere else.
Parents are the problem. Not kids
Go to most Asian countries the kids are quiet and respectful to elders. Meanwhile in America the kids run the roost and the parents are submissive friends. Pathetic.
Their business so if that’s what they want so be it. Don’t see the big deal.
I am on the side of the restaurant. I have been in the restaurant and have seen kids running all over the place, yelling, and hitting tables and customers. Some of us like to eat in peace. Parents nowadays have no control over their children and are not parenting. I would go to this restaurant. This might be a new trend. Parents might start to parent or leave their kids at home.
Great idea! I wished more restaurants and other companies would ban young children. We adults and child free adults also have the right to spend some time without screaming children nearby.
We also need flights where children are banned! It’s abusing adults if there is a screaming child in a airplane.
If I ever get back up to Red Bank NJ, I know where I’m going to dinner
I would go to this restaurant
I have two kids and I think this is fine. It’s their restaurant their rules. Smart decision actually…plus all the free advertising.
Businesses have the right to refuse service to whom they want🤷♂️
I support this idea. Sometimes adults want a peaceful meal. Some parents don’t discipline their kids and allow them to run, yell, and be very disrespectful towards other diners. Some places should be for children and it’s ok if others aren’t. Yes, I am a mom lol
Problem is most parents dont parent anymore. Allot of kids are left to do whatever they want. I love kids but I dont enjoy undisciplined kids.
Parent’s need to understand that not EVERY PLACE is appropriate for children under 10 .
I could take my child everywhere because she was well behaved.
That didn’t mean she needed to go everywhere.
I see kid’s we’re leaving it’s More kid friendly places out if some where with adults I don’t need children around
It’s their business and they can run it how they see fit for clientele they are looking for. They probably have had major problems with pre 10 year old are and done dealing with it. They don’t need to be in hot water for their choice to ban 10 and under. It’s really simple you don’t like it don’t eat there. I have kids and I like to take my wife to kid free diners. Most y’all let your kids run a muck
My kids are 10 now. They have been going to high end restaurants and low end since day one. If my kids threw a fit. I would take them outside so everyone would see it. I missed a few meals because of it. I trained my kids to sit still and not get up. My wife and I would shoosh them anytime they were loud. Many people would praise us and tell us they never seen parents who cared about manners. I would brag about it and be very loud to let other parents see what manors are. My wife and I usually feed our kids unless it’s a restaurant they like. We give them the iPads and they keep quiet. I hate parents who don’t tell their kids to shut up.
Yah; yah, you’re perfect and so are your kids.
For 2023, it’s difficult to make sure about unambiguous expectations for the real estate market is on the grounds that it’s not yet clear how rapidly or how much the Central bank can cut down expansion and getting costs without failing purchaser interest for all that from homes to vehicles.
You are correct! I enhanced my 450K portfolio across different market with the guide of a speculation mentor, I have had the option to produce a smidgen above 1.3m in net benefit across high profit yield stocks, ETF and securities during this red season.
@Dragon Jee that is entirely noteworthy, I could utilize some Data on your FA, I’m hoping to roll out an improvement on my funds this year too.
@Tblaze Gutt Having an instructor is fundamental for portfolio broadening. My counselor is Kimberly Jean Heavner, who is effectively accessible and has broad information on the monetary business sectors.
@Dragon Jee Thanks, I just googled her and am impressed with her credentials. Contacted her through her website to get her opinion on my situation
dude – promote your agenda on a video about real estate – this is about a restaurant
America sure despises children!
I’m on the side of Netties; although I would have appreciated a 13-year-old cut-off. I cannot imagine allowing your child to become a distraction and liability for a restaurant, and I guess Nettie’s has had enough of irresponsible parents. Good on them.
Today’s parents often have not set strong boundaries for their children and let them run amuck. Other patrons should not have to be subjected to their poor parenting skills. They can order to go and eat at home.
Here’s a thought. Take your kids to a restaurant. The moment they start acting out, ask for the check and leave – even if the food hasn’t come to your table, or if your mid-meal. The kids will get the message.
Only in the US is this news.
I wish more restaurants would do the same. In fact, I would raise the age. The parents are to blame as they raise undisciplined kids. Why don’t they take those brats to the parks and playgrounds, and then to McDonald’s, instead of a restaurant where adults wish to eat and talk in peace.
They should banned kids
Just last week the wife and myself at a restaurant trying to eat and children running around tripping in front of us banging up against my chair every time I would try to take a bite it was ridiculous we told the manager we was not paying because we could not eat our food and we got up and left so I support this restaurant 100%
There’s nothing wrong with that.
