The U.S. military shot down another high-altitude, unidentified object, now over Lake Huron. The Pentagon said in a statement that the object “flew in proximity to sensitive Department of Defense sites” and assessed it was “a safety flight hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities.”

We had daily pictures and information on the first balloon but I haven’t seen information or pictures of the others. Why the difference in how the public is kept informed? I’m glad they are removing them from our airspace. But if possible, we’d like to see what our pilots are seeing.

Ohio train derailment happened on Feb 3. Guess what the US news outlets were doing at that time? Yes they were watching a high-altitude balloon drifting across US continent. And then for the last 12 days, busy talking about mysterious objects in sky. It is very obvious those mysterious objects are just high-altitude balloons. There are LOTS of them flowing around the world. Some of them are spy balloons and some are for scientific purposes. US, for example, under the Project Genetrix, flew more than 500 high-altitude balloons over China and Russia. And China and Russia are doing the same. They are above 60K feet above ground, well above the 30K feet national air space. As long as we are all behaving the same way, it is norm that we accept it. In fact, US insists for many decades that it is US rights under international laws to fly these high-altitude balloons. But we violated this norm and shot down that Chinese balloon. Guess what, they will do exactly the same in the future!
But do we care? Nope. Shoot them down! We are “outraged” as if we don’t know that we are flying all sorts of spy equipment around the world. We are outraged! Listen to yourself! Outrage! Outrage about what? That China can do THE SAME to you, and in fact has been doing that for many years, and somehow you feel violated? These balloons do not have the ability to speed up or slow down at will, they are not UFO’s because that would be very enhanced technology that could never be destroyed.
