From Habitat for Humanity to those who worked alongside him, tributes poured in after the announcement that the former president would spend his final days at home under hospice care. The 98-year-old will spend the remainder of his life in the small town of Plains, Georgia, where he was born and married his wife, Rosalynn Carter. President Carter also helped two African ladies open their home-cooking cafe in Plains. It was great food, better company, an d even better memories.
He was a true humanitarian and loved all people of every color.

as a Canadian teen-ager growing up in the late 70’s, I began to follow international politics. after the Nixon years, mr. Carter was a refreshing change. he didn’t have a smooth administration but he always had a positive, honest approach to things. as I got older I followed his post -presidential career and watched him set a standard for being a good human being. tonight, your nation, and he and his family are in my thoughts. safe travels to your next destination, mr. Carter and rest well, you’ve earned it.

That’s a good thing. You need to do some research and educate yourself on all the things that his policies ruined. Iran wouldn’t give hostages back until Regan won and they knew they better release them before a president comes into office and might actually do something about it. Gas shortage, long lines at the gas stations, economy, massive inflation. Liberals always pat themselves on the back for trying ignoring the results of their actions, sorry I ruined everything but I meant well. I’m just reminding everyone how horrible and destructive his presidency was and building a few houses for poor families doesn’t erase that fact. Plus he’s 98 years old.

President Carter is one of the most devoted Americans who care for his country and its people. We voted for him both times and wanted him for another four years. He went on to serve his country by his works for Habitat for Humanity. His honesty and caring are noble traits. I am thinking of Mrs. Carter and how she may be feeling now….What a lovely couple.
