It was Bernie
@GLUEYPORCH and tell me I’m lying. Women openly want to gargle Ted’s mayo. Netflix and women have sexualized jeffy. Charles Manson still has women who obsess over him who were born in the 2000s.
@GLUEYPORCH I wasn’t making a joke out of that btw. Women and the media both sexualize, sensationalize, and glofys it. That’s not on men because they dont buy that media. But white women on mass do. Because they do want to be taken by Ted Bundy.
First Amendment doesn’t cover slander. Add something to make it parody and not a statement of fact.
@Muhammad the fabulous 💋 Males lacking self-control, fetishizing their anger and being so violent is a much larger issue. Nice misogyny and racism tho
@Muhammad the fabulous 💋 So it’s OK to not think murder is a big deal because some white girls on Tumblr fetishize murderers? Seek help bro. Don’t turn to hate like so many of your gender.
I hope cold cases continue to be solved💞 may she rest in peace 🕊️
It is a waste of public money for cases over 40 years to be pursued. This one happened over 60 years ago. The suspect died in 1989. Those who knew her are mostly dead and those who remain soon will be. Identifying a POSSIBLE killer that is LONG dead has done nothing but bring back bad memories. Why? Why continue to pursue old cases that are THAT old?
@Jim Longino We’ve convicted people who have murdered others 70 years ago. Sometimes they’re going to be dead by the time we find them. Do you really want a statue of limitations on murder and if so how many years would you say till we give up?
@Jack Sam 40. I thought I’d made this clear
@Jim Longino So a guy who’s 20 brutally murders someone, we catch him at 60, let the guy go?
@Jim Longino If it was your sis, aunt or Mom you would not want to know who did it ?? So you would say no, I don’t care? It’s been over 40 years. Forget it. ???——
Took 54 years
@Muhammad the fabulous 💋
True
@Freedom of Speech Who cares.
@Muhammad the fabulous 💋 southern? Sounds like something mentioned in your hadithsss?
@John Doe Me too
@William Harrison
Really?
Cool 😎
Wappons in the Usa killed many US people.
The dude’s dead. What’s the point? Can’t do jack to him now. Why can’t these lazy police check the DNA on the evidence decades earlier? Pathetic. Defund the police!
That evidence sounds very shaky as the lived in the same building. If he was still alive I dont think theyd get a conviction.
The cigarette probably doesn’t pass the reasonable doubt threshold given their living situation, but there’s really no explanation for touch DNA on torn clothing, outside of the obvious. Additionally, no other male suspect would come close in terms of opportunity, so I think it’s pretty likely this guy would’ve been convicted today.
@HeezNeez Studies show DNA stays on after being washed. He could have helped her with something like physical, groceries, yard work or whatever and he could have patted her back in that interaction.
They could have hugged at one time. Ect
Im just pointing out that a crime like this that so old, no witnesses other than the wife saying she was with her husband at the time of the crime, and enough reasonable doubt, a good laywer would have gitten a not guilty verdict.
@PANDORA 49 yet its youre comment thats being supressed 😆
@Lil I agree with you, I don’t think he is the killer, he’s just a dead guy they can pin it on to close the case, cops can’t be sued for defamation by a dead guy…
@A Leuttrel Im not saying hes gulity or not. I just believe they wouldnt be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
Ty for your respectful response
On a side note, that is a cool apartment with the balcony on top!
But still good even in his death that he is known as a murderer.
I wonder how he died? Drugs?
Yep, think it was a drug overdose.
@PANDORA 49 did you find an article about him or something and his death? Anyway, that’s some good detective work way back then knowing to grab that cigarette butt even though DNA was not a thing
Would a cigarette butt alone be enough to convict the accused beyond a reasonable doubt? It would be tempting to say sure this guy did it and just close the case.
His crappy DNA was also found on her torn clothing!
It’s what is on the cigarette butt. DNA does not lie.
@PANDORA 49 True, but that just puts someone at the scene. However, combined with the DNA on her clothes, that might be good enough circumstantial evidence for a jury.
My thoughts exactly. They don’t even have his DNA on record for 100% match. The apartment was empty and he could have smoked that cigarette there before. Too many possibilities.
So now do something with the wife who lied about it
Right? Although in 1971, a woman was very dependent on her husband. He could also have been abusive. These questions do need to be asked, though. I mean, it is possible they were having an affair and the wife killed her. Who’s to say?
How do you know she lied about it?
Imagine strangling an innocent woman because you had a fight with your wife and you can’t control your emotions.
Men, cold, cold beings.
We’ve bred them to be soldiers, basically. This is what happens.
@SaltyShaman Maybe in Afghanistan. Maybe there’s something wrong with the way we’re raising our boys or something wrong with traditional traits of “masculinity” (anger, violence, etc).
They should charge his children if he had any
Then you’d owe the toll for your ancestors sins.
So those detectives were so bad back then, they couldn’t catch a killer that lived right upstairs from the woman.
If there was no evidence then they had no case. Even if he was a suspect
I don’t think he was the killer, just a dead guy to pin it on…
@A Leuttrelso DNA means nothing
@George Prince 😆 I see.
@Arizona Kickstart when dna is used this way, it means nothing, they lived in the same building, the DNA on her cloths could have just been from them hanging out, same with the cigarette butt. His wife was with him when the murder happened you know, so the guy had a witness that it wasn’t him. You ever been to your neighbors house? Guess what, I can find your DNA at there house then… Ever hung out with your neighbor, if so, I’m sure I’ll find your DNA on their cloths… Just because they said DNA, doesn’t mean sperm, get that?
He live 80+ years and the only crime he can be linked to is murder…through a discarded cigarette next to her body and DNA on her clothing….him and his wife both were home and heard nothing…and her story never changed?? I have no doubt there is something off here. No way!!
terrible thing
His wife was married to a rap*ist
Not fair, DNA shouldn’t be uses
Right?? How is a person gonna go around abusing and murdering people if they can just track them down with their DNA? Just horrible, I tell you! You should write your local officials about this.
@SaltyShaman already have month’s ago
Completely disagree with you. Dna has solved many cases where the killer would have gotten away
@smyers820gmim just trying to get a reaction out of ppl lol
Wonderful, wonderful DNA. Rita, you were not forgotten.
Finally She has her justice RIH Young Woman.
Pretty sad when the killer was right upstairs and the police didn’t catch him 🙄
😳🙏🏾
Wonderful story but it’s crazy the police use ancestry lol
whats bad is you dont even have to do a DNA test with any of these companies now. If a family member does they can get you.
@Ghost inc Based. Now criminals need to worry about their family members doing ancestry dna tests.
Ok, so what about the wife who apparently backed up his lie about being at home when he was raping and murdering her?
50 years. Top notch police work 🤣
My thoughts exactly 💯. I’m glad they solved this case but took them long enough
💔🙏
Wtf cares after 60 years? Anyone who knew her and still alive won’t be for long.
Finally , sad it couldn’t have happened years ago. Poor family.
They didn’t say if the killers wife was still alive.
Good point
She probably is then, otherwise they wouldve said both dead
How does it take them 50 years to find DNA on a cigarette that was lying right next to the body??
Why was the murderer stupid enough to leave a clue right next to the body?
The state doesn’t just have your DNA. They matched it to the ancestry database. The murder was done decades before the ancestry website existed. They also matched it to his relatives, not the murderer directly which is a fairly new type of DNA search.
Dig him up and put him in jail.
Too bad the man isnt here to defend himself?? Sorry anyway for the families loss. It is temporary since Christ died for everyone ✓ 2 Corinthians 5:14,15 and it haa secured guaranteed families will be reunited in that future Kingdom Come Matthew 6:9,10. That is going to be 🎊a wonderful happy moment.🎇 In the book of Luke, a man and his wife were present when Jesus spake unto their*daughter who was dead. Talitha cumi – And the dead child awoke out of the sleep of death. The context reveals that her parents were 😲”near insane” with joy !!!!🤗 What does that feel like?? Wow. What would we give to God, so that experience, could be ours?? Over and over and over and over again seeing it from the vanage point in heaven with the firstborn Son of the God. What is anyone willing to give???? Psalm 69:32/Romans 10,9,10 peace be upon you
Thank you to the investigators that continued to work on this case and solved it.
Sucks it was the man living above her who was MARRIED
What’s your point?
@Page-Hendryx no self-control or faithfulness
What a lazy report by the mainstream media, as usual.
His wife later admitted that he told her to lie to the police for him. They have no plans to charge her.
William DeRoos (the murderer) would later:
– leave his wife, remarry and abused her too.
– stabbed a female friend in the stomach, and was arrested
– choked another female friend unconscious while having dinner.
– died of a drug overdose at age 46.
Died in 1986 in San Francisco….during the ( HAI ) AIDS epidemic
Pat “Leaky” Leahy, haven’t heard from that blowhard in quite awhile .
How about the chemical spill in Ohio, msm news?
Bad police work that’s all you hear on the news lately
I’d like to know if his wife had an idea what kind of person he was… Or, if she divorced him…
I suppose his wife is dead as well now. I hope his children know what kind of monster he was.
Some peace for the family, but no justice. The killer died knowing he got away with it.
what a bunch of leftest clowns
Uff😢 if that man didn’t repent and asked for forgiveness before he died at this very moment he is in a very big
trouble with the almighty Elohim . He didn’t get away with murder.
So he was raging mad @ 1 woman & murdered another, wife lied for him, moved with him, changed name, just wow, seems Karma caught up with him, I hope they are getting nightly visits, sorry Ms. Curran, RIP… 😔🕊🕊
It’s horrible that he got to live his life. I’m sure he is paying for what he did. 🔥. I wonder if his wife knew that he did it?? 🤔
That’s what I was thinking. Did she(wife) know he did it,and were they still together when he died in SF.?
