A Maryland investigation into Baltimore’s Catholic Church discovered a yearslong cover-up of the sexual abuse of more than 600 children. “We will do everything we can to bring those abusers and those who enabled them to justice,” said State Attorney General Anthony Brown. The hat the robe etc. We began to speak, he put his feet up on the desk threw his hat off, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it in the church’s office! 8 told him, I had quit smoking. He asked me how I quit. I told him I had prayed to God,to help. me quit and I stopped smoking. His response was, ” Holy shyt!” ” You mean God really did that for ya. The “reassignment” solution was prevalent when I was a girl. I am 70 years old now. My grandmother used to send a little money to a church in Trinadad and a “bishop” from the church came to visit us when I was maybe 9 or 10. I remember my grandmother, two of her West Indian lady friends. my mother were seated in our living room and this bishop picked me up and hugged me. He stuck his tongue in my mouth. I started to struggle and then I kicked him in the nuts as hard as I could. He dropped me like a hot coal. No one seemed to notice. The clergy”men” were most inclined to be sexually repressed but the nuns were all about helping and without the nuns, I would never have survived my young days. I always felt safe with the nuns.
