The Chinese military launched precision simulation strikes on key targets in Taiwan on the second day of military exercises. The exercises began after days of United States congressional leaders meeting with senior Taiwanese government officials. NBC News’ Courtney Kube has the details.

Taiwan is a part of China because China has 2 parts due to civil war, Taiwan of China and mainland of China. Currently both 2 parts have their own administrations but UN and almost all countries admit mainland China as the country China. Both parts should be united because separation caused by civil war should not last long.

However, despite the Philippines’ willingness to engage in diplomatic talks and even going against their national interest, China’s expansionist policies in the region continue to escalate. This has resulted in over 200 diplomatic protests filed by the Philippines to China, which have unfortunately fallen on deaf ears. Not only has the Philippines been affected by China’s actions, but other countries like Brunei, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, and India have also experienced China’s aggressive stance. Even Singapore, Cambodia, and Thailand have expressed concerns over China’s actions.
In light of these developments, the recent discussions between China and the Philippines over the US’s new EDCA sites and China’s laser shooting at the Philippine Coast Guard ship are just minor issues. The real issue is China’s continued expansionist policies in the region, which have threatened the sovereignty and security of the Philippines and other countries. It is imperative that the international community takes a strong stance against China’s aggressive actions and support the Philippines and other affected countries in upholding their sovereignty and territorial integrity.
