The current violence in Sudan has deep roots, with support for the groups battling it out falling along ethnic and geographic lines.
The country is also rich in natural resources, and competition for control of that wealth makes this conflict unique and complex.

Hemedti is definitely an ARAB (specifically, Rizeigat Abballa mahariya Awlad Mansur) from Darfur and certainly does not have support from the majority natives (Non-Arab tribes) of Darfur because he and his forces killed / raped many of them. In 2016 they made ecumenical sinod for all other denominations(sects)along with catholics to unite with orthodoxy and have head the pope.
Today orthodoxy is split in two :
