29-year-old Youtuber Trevor Jacob agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge but has not done so yet after federal authorities say he staged a plane crash. They say he did it for the sake of making a video that has racked up more than three million views. NBC News’ Gadi Schwartz has more details.

In other words, you haven’t looked into this at all. There’s more than enough evidence of him intentionally crashing the plane and the obstruction charge.

Finally. It’s mind blowing that cases take this long to investigate and convict. Particularly open and shut ones on camera. It’s been so long I actually forgot about it.
Imagine you’re hiking with your wife and kids when a plane crashes in front of you killing your family except you. Imagine the agony of having to live through that knowing someone who is desperate for attention took away everything you have.
Presumably he will never be allowed to hold a pilots licence again? And all proceeds from his YouTube video will be forfeited to fire services or similar, but this is America and California, so I’m guessing he’ll be slapped on the wrist and then given a handshake by Gavin newsom and allowed to carry on.
Not surprising considering it was obviously planned, his best chance was coming clean and taking a deal.
What’s messed up is that staging the crash wasn’t the real issue.
It was the fact that he lied about the crash location, and then disposed of the wreckage. Lol. He basically didn’t want to be called out by his audience.
If he just told the FAA where the crash was, and didn’t clean up the crash site, this literally wouldn’t have been an issue…
