The only ethics they were taught or held accounable as law clerks was “What happens in SCOTUS stays in SCOTUS”. Sounds like what corrupt people would say. Certainly the opposite of ‘transparent’. However, I wonder how you can spend one hour on a Supreme Court Special Report and not say CATHOLIC once. You chose Conservative Majority when in fact it isn’t a Conservative Majority at all. The 7-2 Court makeup is a CATHOLIC Majority (Episcopalians are Upscale Catholics), and you cannot discuss the Supreme Court problem until the overwhelmingly CATHOLIC Majority is acknowledged as representative of a majority PROTESTANT country. There are no PROTESTANT representatives on the Supreme Court and CATHOLICISM remains hostile to this Constitutional Republic. No Supreme Court Special Report should ignore the dilemma of CATHOLIC Justices in complying with CATHOLIC Doctrine.

Some Harvard law professor, the Supreme Court interprets the constitution to make sure laws passed jive with it snd we don’t have government over reach. They don’t tell anyone what to do, the law makers do that.

We need a law that says only presidents who win the popular vote shall be allowed to appoint judges including for the U.S. Supreme Court.

The statements of the two ex law clerks clearly show the psychological difference between the liberal and conservative minds. While liberals prioritize fairness and prevention of harm over loyalty and ingroup identification, conservatives value authority, loyalty and in-group identification over fairness and harm prevention.
Thus the liberal law clerk pointed out that the report showed who SCOTUS failed in the liberal values of fairness and harm prevention while the conservative law clerk focused on how SCOTUS was steadfast in the face of attacks, as well as her claim that the court is transparent.displayed the values of authority and loyalty (to the institution).

What civilian enquiries are going on into the conspiracies or incompetence within the military and their lack of action to protect the elected Government? Scotus is corrupt. They burned their credibility a while ago. It is pretty clear they judge based on if they are democrat or republican judges and if they judged based on the law that would not be the outcome. I am also quite certain that as more investigation is done we will find more judges are owned. Honestly we need to remove all of them. We need a code of ethics and some way to depoliticize the court. Maybe we choose 9 judges randomly from all federal judges and they serve a 1 year term or something like that. I don’t know but what we have now is clearly not working.
Around the 6:26 mark Andrew Crespo mentions Texas and he’s not doing it arbitrarily. Currently, an anonymous plaintiff is filing a $1.8B lawsuit against Planned Parenthood in Amarillo,Texas where a federal judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, extremely conservative, appointed by Trump (R) will be overseeing the case. This is the same judge that tried to get Mifepristone, an FDA approved drug on the market for 20 years, off the market. Crespo brought it up for a reason 👏🏼. That judge is using these cases to get shot up through the shadow docket to the Supreme Court.

Democratic National Committee and Arizona Republican Party v. Democratic National Committee, are some of the most aggressive attacks on the right to vote to reach the Supreme Court in the post-Jim Crow era.
The Voting Rights Act is the landmark law that President Lyndon Johnson signed to end white supremacist election laws in 1965, and that President Ronald Reagan signed legislation expanding in 1982.
Reagan did so over the strident opposition of a young Justice Department lawyer named John Roberts. Roberts wrote more than two dozens memos opposing the 1982 voting rights law, one of which claimed it was “not only constitutionally suspect, but also contrary to the most fundamental tenants [sic] of the legislative process on which the laws of this country are based.”

It is exceedingly difficult to discern when conservatives on SCOTUS (law clerks, Judges, ect…) are genuine about not inserting politics and partisanship in their decisions and they like it that way. Conservatives could try to say the same about liberals and have been for decades, think “activist judges,” but it is mostly an exercise in calling the Kettle Black. Especially after all that has been revealed about Justice THOMAS and his corruption (Crowe bought his mom’s house and she lives rent free, lavish vacations, insurrectionist wife, etc…) and nondisclosure of finances. It is as if “owning the libs” has filtered its way all the way to the Supreme Court and all one needs to do is pay attention to Mascotts talking point echoed by others about how the Court has upheld itself despite all of the repeated attacks on its integrity post-Dobbs. It seems as if the 6 justices on SCOTUS have simply become an arm of the GOP and are no longer there to call, as Roberts said during his confirmation hearing, “balls and strikes.” Both professors are extremely smart and a lot can be gleamed from what they have said about ethics on SCOTUS. The major difference between them is that one probably cares a lot about civil rights and fairness while the other has open plans and an entire law school dedicated to dismantling Chevron deference and the Administrative State. If you don’t know what the latter means, the plans are to use the Courts to neuter the Federal Government’s ability to address climate change, pollution, and adhere to the principal of the separation of Church/State … etc… whether that is a good thing or a bad thing for USA is in the eye of the beholder.

The Supreme Court, as far as I’m concerned, has no authority whatsoever anymore. It is a Kangaroo Court with no ethics and thus no legitimacy and thus no legal mandate. They have effectively destroyed the Constitutional ideals of checks and balances and annihilated any goodwill from normal people. The idea of the Supreme Court answering to no one is literally hardcore totalitarianism. It is the sort of thing you only see in Russia and China, never in a civilized nation like the UK or Germany. In the UK, it’s the judiciary that has limited power thanks to paraliamentary sovereignty (which is a far better system than anything in America) and the entire government can literally be recalled and forced into elections. How could the Founding Fathers have failed so spectacularly that they put wording in the Constitution that allows the Supreme Court to make its own rules, judge its own rules, and answer to absolutely no one? Looks like we need a Constitutional Convention so we can adopt the UK’s parliamentary system and legal powers.
