A private wake for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is being held at a Tokyo temple, following his shocking assassination. Hundreds of mourners are paying respect to the former leader of Japan, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken who is making his way to Japan. Police are investigating the incident further and their own security failures that led to the gunman being able to fire his home made gun twice.

My condolences to the prime minister. But I have no sympathy for him or his political affiliations. He and his Nippon Kaigi cronies have controlled Japan for a long time by distorting Japan’s role in WWII and denying war crimes against Asians (predominantly Koreans and Chinese), Europeans, and Americans in Japan’s education. Japan may be one of the safest nations in the world. Still, as long as his cronies remain in control, minorities in Japan, countries neighboring Japan, and Asian Americans will never be safe from people like him and his political affiliations.

The other part is Abe was most recently an MP (member of parliament), and they don’t really have the same security that acting prime ministers do. Although they should, even in “safe” Japan, since this incident is potentially a destabilizing event
To contrast, I lived in Japan when Obama visited the country. I remember my area was lined with police, and parts of the streets were completely blocked for the whole weekend. It’s really sad Abe didn’t get get some of the same protection, even as just a parliament member

Shinto Abe’s maternal grandfather, Nobusuke Kishi, was to be tried as a Class A war criminal, after WW2. He ruled Manchuria and was called Monster of Manchuria coz of his cruelty. He was imprisoned for 3 years, but later released, coz the Americans needed him, to help run Japan. He served under Tojo, the Prime Minister during the war. He later became Prime Minister of Japan (1957-60), while his son Shintaro Abe (Sinzo Abe’s father) became foreign minister (1982-86).
The family history, shows that Abe was a blue blood in Japan’s politics. Japan’s imperialism & extreme nationalism, have been LDP trademarks. Their biggest obstacle today, is China. Abe, is the mastermind in the moves for the further containment of China, & in the formation of QUAD.
Since he returned to power in 2012, Abe had embarked on an unprecedented anti-China mission, changing his country’s pacifist foreign policy! Abe, funded nearly all anti-China think tanks in the US to advocate for the US’s containment strategy, against China. He also bankrolled, many Western media to spread anti-China propaganda. Trying to discredit China’s BRI projects, he offered what he called ‘better alternatives’. He engaged in shuttle diplomacy, to create an anti-China coalition in Asia, spearheading the formation/revival of the Quad. In a nutshell, it could be said, Abe was the critical figure, who engineered Japan’s hostile change toward China. He is also responsible, for Japan’s increasing re-militarization! Good riddance!

reaction, we have to learn in brief about Nobusuke Kishi, former Prime Minister of Japan. It all started with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in China in 1931, and subsequently, a man by the name of Nobusuke Kishi becoming the Deputy Minister of Industrial Development in the newly formed Japanese puppet state Manchukuo. Kishi had total control over the economy of Manchukuo in his new role, and he was tasked with the industrialisation of the region to support the national defense state. Kishi achieved that and delivered huge profits by allegedly employing the Chinese as slave labourers in the huge industrial plants he had set up in the region. There were widespread accusations of racism and abuse
against the Chinese while Kishi was in Manchukuo. He subsequently returned to Japan and played his part in keeping the Japanese war effort going during the early years of Japanese involvement in the second World War. Kishi had also voted for the war in 1941 against the United States and Great Britain.
After the Japanese surrender in August 1945, Kishi was branded as a Class A war criminal and held at Sugamo prison. However, he was identified by Americans as the ideal man to lead post-war Japan, which meant that Kishi was never indicted or put on trial for his role in the second world war and was released in 1948. Kishi soon returned to active politics in post-war Japan, helped to establish Liberal Democratic Party (the most influential Japanese party to date) in 1955, and went on to become the Prime Minister of Japan in 1957.
In his personal life, Nobusuke Kishi had a son Nobukazu Kishi, and a daughter named Yoko Kishi. Yoko Kishi married a politician by the name of Shintaro Abe. The second son of Yoko Kishi and Shintaro Abe is Shinzo Abe, who has been shot earlier today leading to much joy among the Chinese. Apart from his ancestry, Shinzo Abe is also disliked in China for his strong nationalist stand and his attempt to revive the Japanese military for its self-defence. Abe has also been accused by his critics of trying to take the country back to the days of Imperial Japan through his “right-wing” and “revisionist” policies.
