It’s always been so ironic that for a socialist/communist country that is called “The Peoples Republic” — that so little is actually done to support the households and the people. Very few social programs to speak of and always putting government and business before actual households and workers.
It’s really just an authoritarian dictatorship that claims to be communist/socialist.
Note what she said about the lack of support for households – this is not new. While the government may claim to want to transition to a consumer-based economy, they also do little to support said consumers. You can’t have your cake and eat it too… if you truly want a consumer-based economy – you need to start actually supporting consumers, and not just the rich, big business, state owned enterprises, and government officials

The decline means that using USD to measure China’s economy is no longer accurate as more & more of China’s trade is not done in USD 🤣
