The Indigenous community in Bogota held a ceremony to thank rescuers who found four children alive 40 days after their plane crashed in the Amazon jungle.

How did that Girl keep the baby alive for so long?
Depends on how she was raised and they raised her well .
As an indigenous girl she probably is required to take care of her younger siblings since she was young while parents are working. So taking taking care of younger sibling including the infant comes naturally for her even in this tough rainforest.

One of the videos said she had some formula and they tried to stay by the river.

That 13 year old girl is awesome and the grandmother that taught her how to survive in the rain forests.
Lord she sent them away to save them from the pain of seeing their mother die. I want to cry! How they’ve endured without their mother for so long. They have a longer path in life. But they have ancestral protection and wisdom and a sibling bond that is forever . Bless these children and protect them

These children must have psychological help later. They will suffer from ptsd some day in the near futur, first the choc of thé plane crash, then the painful death of their mother.
Very touching story that makes me cry. Just imagine how hard four little kids had to get through in the forest days and nights…(just can’t imagine)! God really saved them! Respect!
