An Ecuadorian woman who was declared dead astonished her relatives when she began banging on her coffin in the middle of her wake. 76-year-old Bella Montoya Tapia was declared dead after a “presumptive cerebrovascular accident” last week, the health ministry said, but was taken back to hospital after showing signs of life from inside her coffin.

Embalming isn’t required by law. In fact, there’s no law requiring a coffin. Certain cemeteries may insist on some type of container but there’s no law requiring a person be buried in a coffin.

This has been happening for many many years, people you to plan for a way to get out out of their caskets and Graves incase this were to happen.
That’s why it’s called a “wake”. It was hoped that if someone was wrongfully declared dead the noise of other people around plus the time period before burial would give the person a chance to “wake” up 😅

My neighbor was officially declared dead and taken to the morgue. He was the morgue for a full day when he woke up. He lived for another year.

What this really indicates is that the power and authority to pronounce someone dead is not with the Doctors or medical professionals. Since it’s not a perfect science, only the Creator of life has the ultimate authority and power to pronounce someone dead or alive. This broadens my idea on what is considered alive and what is considered dead and gives more depth to what the word qabar (ﻗَﺒﺮ ) in Arabic means and why the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised us on what to do to overcome the trial of the grave, which is supposedly a very severe trial.

That’s why you remove their organs before burial.

this seems to happen a lot in mexico, so it is probably something in the food. they tend to think ppl r dead and then they wwake up at their funeral. this is a stunt or something they are doing to cause this.

Happened in the Philippines to a relative of my girlfriend. Poor countries tend to be closer to the supernatural while rich countries use technology.

Freaky. This is the frst time I’ve ever seen someone removed from a coffin. Thank God they didn’t embalm her. If so many people weren’t embalmed in the US I bet we would have more incidents like this.

Wow. Sadly it looks like she was having “end of life” breathing. That opening ofthe mouth and little gasps of air. Ive seen in YT videos other patients who were about to die who were doing the same thing, opening and closing the mouth and talk little gasps of air. They called it end of life breathing and its heartbreaking to see! Unfortunately i seen my cat doing this as well but vet told us he had fluid in his lungs thats why he was doing ‘open mouth’ breathing. RIP my MiLo boy. I hope this woman makes it. But i fear she won’t last long 🙏

I have so many questions. They said she was declared dead a week prior. Where were they keeping her “body” that whole time? How did she survive a week with zero food or water and probably in a place with little air ventilation? They dont embalm ppl there? Back in time this was happening very often. Later graves had bels above just in case the person will wake up from lethargic sleep so he can ring the bell 🔔 to be dived out. Going lethargic makes u look like ur dead but u a sleep and ur heart beats just 1-2times per minute. So look basically dead.

There’s nothing supernatural about a bad medical call. She obviously wasn’t dead! Her stroke likely put her into a come with suppressed vital signs to the extent that a doctor made a bad call, declaring her deceased when she was still alive.
The lengths to which theists will go to try to proclaim something “supernatural”, only serves to demonstrate WHY they’re theists in the first place. They think in only one direction, trying to serve their beliefs rather than exploring other options, and they don’t usually understand much of anything about medical issues or science.
Poor lady. She’s going through it.
I just had surgery two days ago and I just come to find out I got another guys prescription today two days later happy she’s alive😊
