Washington should know how they treated Qing Gang, when he was the Chinese ambassador to the US, for five hundred days, before he was promoted to Foreign Minister. During his tenure in Washington, he was disrespected, and the US had constantly and oftentimes refused to meet him despite his many requests. He was also turned down by Blinken. Today, the tide has turned. He is on equal footing with Blinken, and the latter has come knocking on the door (visiting Beijing). In Chinese, that is “送上门”. Loosely translated, it means, “You wanted to come. I did not invite you).
That’s fine… American companies are leaving China as Japanese, Taiwanese, South Korean and European companies. All leaving… bub-bye China. I will be happy not to see cheap Chinese products in this country anymore.

I don’t know what was discussed behind the scene, as we, public, usually do not hear what went on behind. And many important agendas usually are discussed behind the scene. We will never know how truly and sincere Blinken or Xi were and truly willing to lesson the tensions between both nations. If what happened with U.S. destroyer incident just few weeks ago repeats in the near future, we will all know this meeting was fruitless. So let us see what will follow from now.
