Someone I love dearly is trransgender. He is a wonderful, super talented, good person with a heart of gold. I am so thankful his parents supported him in his desperate need to be his authentic self back when he was a teen. It horrifies me to think what would have happened to him if he would have been forced to remain in an existence that felt foreign and wrong to him.

I have only a couple of comments what about the Pledge of Allegiance? “ One Nation Under God” If we are one nation under God what is Gods view on this words have meaning you cannot change meanings to fit your Narrative my Grandson asked me one day Papa I thought we were One Nation Under God then he asked me what is a pledge? This is about a right for parents to make a decision for their children. That’s why the Arkansas law was ruled unconstitutional. It attempted to make the state the real parents of everyone’s children.
It’s already happening in California. Parents have no rights any more.

I am Ok with this law because I believe that the life changing event of transitioning should only be made by someone who is a grown adult and understands what this means. Young kids are not making this decision consciously because they do not have the capacity to do so. Rather, it is being made for them by adults who many times are not the parents.
@Savage Clown I have yet to see anyone produce so much as one example where kids are being medically transitioned without parental involvement. That’s how the Christian Taliban lies. They repeat something often enough on kook conspiracy sites, and regardless of any factual basis, it becomes “truth”.
It is extremely rare that anyone under 18 is receiving the surgery and virtually unheard of for anyone younger than 15 or 16, and those are pretty rare cases.
Who do you suppose is coming up with $140,000 for kids who are supposedly undergoing gender reassignment surgery behind their parent’s backs?

As an Arkansas parent, this is a relief. My child was born male but has always told me she’s a girl and likes girl stuff. She’s aIso currently 10, and she knows about puberty-blockers and hormones and has been asking me to go on them for the longest time. I was afraid I would have to leave the state, but now I don’t have to. Now I can get my little girl the treatment she needs here. I’ve already made an appointment for her to see a gender specialist this coming Monday. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s going to be sooooo surprised and happy when I tell her! Thank God!

This is bad. I don’t care if you want to be trans when you’re an adult, but that isn’t the same for kids. There are many stories online of adults who have regretted transitioning as kids. Kids can’t consent, and the effects of HRT and puberty blockers are likely irreversible. And there’s still so much we don’t know, and kids shouldn’t be the guinea pigs.
The Christian Taliban isn’t doing this “for the kids”. They mean to dictate what adults can do as well.
