Giving one group of people an unfair advantage means discrimination against white males who haven’t done anything wrong. We must judge by qualities and not gender or race.
That completely ignores the mismatched benefits that have been accruing to white males for generations and centuries, an obvious unfair advantage in the extreme. So did the non-white males and females who did not get to benefit do something wrong such that they couldn’t be advantaged as well? Guess you just love the white male overlord society.
Different races have genetic traits that make them successful in certain subjects.

Affirmative Action largely benefits white women. They get to remove the race part of it, and white women will continue to benefit from the gender set-asides.
If only there was no concept of affirmative action when Clarence Thomas was getting treated to it. He’d be grifting on a much lower level. That’s tongue-in-cheek since I am for the (essentially) social program to rectify past injustices.

Affirmative action is not just about race. It also includes gender, sexuality, and nationality. This coverage is curiously race-specific & seems to be focusing on interviews with black individuals despite the actual issue at hand being discrimination against Asian Americans. NBC really needs to work on their balancing act.
