why do all americans have to pay some people’s loans ?
PPP LOANS WERE ALL FORGIVEN FOR BIG BUSINESS. YOU JUST HATE POOR PEOPLE AND/OR ARE A MORON.
47% of Americans don’t pay any federal income taxes. So they certainly won’t be “paying for” anyone’s student loans.
the impact is higher national debts.
They agreed to the debt they need to pay it back.x it’s just that simple
Like the PPP loans.
“they borrowed it, so they should have to pay it back” 🤡
Kanye West: Kanye West’s PPP loan of $2 million was forgiven. He has said that he believes student loan borrowers should pay back their loans.
Tom Brady: Tom Brady’s PPP loan of $1.2 million was forgiven. He has said that he believes it’s important for people to pay their debts.
Khloe Kardashian: Khloe Kardashian’s PPP loan of $1 million was forgiven. She has said that she thinks people should be responsible for their own debt.
Reese Witherspoon: Reese Witherspoon’s PPP loan of $1 million was forgiven. She has said that she thinks student loan borrowers should have to pay back their loans.
Jared Kushner: Jared Kushner’s PPP loan of $1 million was forgiven. He has said that he doesn’t think student loan borrowers should get a free pass.
Nancy Pelosi’s husband: Paul Pelosi’s company, Financial Leasing Services, received a PPP loan of $50 million. It was forgiven. He has said that he thinks student loan borrowers should be responsible for their own debt.
Jeff Koons: Jeff Koons’ PPP loan of $1 million was forgiven. He has said that he doesn’t think student loan forgiveness is fair to people who have already paid off their loans.
The Kushner Companies: The Kushner Companies’ PPP loan of $3.6 million was forgiven. They have said that they don’t think student loan borrowers should be bailed out.
The Rock: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s company, Seven Bucks Productions, received a PPP loan of $1 million. It was forgiven. He has not publicly commented on student loan forgiveness.
The Daily Wire: Ben Shapiro’s company, The Daily Wire, received a PPP loan of $1 million. It was forgiven. Shapiro has said that he is “against student loan forgiveness.”
There’s always an excuse. The suns too hot. The moon is not full tonight. Blah blah job economy is at best cars are at all time high. Houses sold in days. There s too much money in the economy so these borrowers are buying cryptos and other meme stocks. Give us a break from these bs sob stories.
Why should tax payers have to pay for student loans? Why not write off home loans and business loans as well?
STUDENT LOANS ARE THE ONLY TYPE OF LOAN THAT CAN’T BE FORGIVEN BY BANKRUPTCY. jesus christ why is everyone so fucking dumb.
Do you want a dumb country that falls into a third world country or the best country in the world?! You get what you pay for. As for home and business loans, they are allowed to go bankrupt while you’re not allowed with student loans (I think Bill Clinton passed that bill).
The federal government doesn’t own home loans so it’s not a good comparison. It does own the student loans subject to forgiveness. The federal government DID write off billions of dollars of business loans through the PPP handout program. Why should businesses get free money but not the workers who are required by those businesses to have degrees?
Because those loans work differently. You really don’t know anything, do you…?
Why we pay for welfare?! Student loans is so small compared to welfare debt.
Airbnb busts in Florida is very bad. Inventory is climbing rapidly. Properties are sitting for months, with no foot traffic. None. This time is different. Just feels like something bad is brewing.
No foot traffic in Florida? Its july.
🤣🤣🤣🤣.. the cruise lines have had the highest numbers in history. The Space Coast of Florida is booming.
Biden trying to buy votes right in front of our eyes.
The home prices should drop by 40% for there to be sanity in this economy
They want you to own nothing and be happy. It’s sick and it’s wrong.
The entire idea is destroy the country. Wtf is wrong with you people?? Why is it so hard for you to understand??? THIS IS THE PLAN . THE GREAT RESET, NEW WORLD ORDER IS REAL. gawd damn you people are so stoopit
Look at loans from the perspective of the lender, the sole purpose for giving loans is “To Produce Income”. If it wasn’t for income, there is no need to provide loans for anything. Borrowers needs don’t matter, loans are given to produce income and borrowers need to make their interest payment at the very least. Example: If you have $10k loan @ 4.5% then you must pay $450 a year to cover interest. Minimum payments that don’t cover interest means that loan principal will grow and eventually grow large enough where debt burden is too much to recover from.
Sounds like you’re siding with banks…
Student debt forgiveness is wrong.
There are many who did not go to college because it was too expensive and did not borrow money for school.
Most people paid all their tuition by working while going to college. Why are others getting a free ride.
Many people chose a cheaper college to be able to pay for tuition.
Will students that fully paid their tuition be reimbursed so that everything is fair?
65% of people do not have a college degree yet they will have their tax money be used to pay for student debt forgiveness.
Corporate socialism is wrong, yet you don’t complain about the billions of tax dollars given to large corporations and people like Elon Musk.
The good news is that there is a simple solution to this problem. If the wealthy paid their fair share of taxes, it would generate an additional $1.5 trillion in revenue over the next decade. This money could be used to forgive student loans, fund education reform, or invest in infrastructure.
Forgiving student loans would not only help struggling borrowers, but it would also boost the economy. It would free up money that borrowers can use to spend on goods and services, which would create jobs and grow the economy.
In contrast, having already struggling students pay incredibly high tuition costs, with such high costs of living, with such low compensation rates for average workers, would have a negative impact on the economy. It would discourage people from pursuing higher education, which would lead to a decrease in the number of skilled workers available. This would make it more difficult for businesses to grow and hire new employees, which would slow down the economy.
The wealthy have a unique opportunity to help address the student debt crisis. They should pay their fair share of taxes, and they should support policies that would help struggling borrowers. This would have a significant positive impact on the economy and help millions of people get ahead in life.
The argument that forgiving student loans would be unfair to people who did not go to college is flawed. College is not a luxury, it is an investment in the future. By forgiving student loans, we would be investing in the future of our economy and our country.
In addition, forgiving student loans would help to level the playing field. Right now, people who have college degrees have a significant advantage over people who do not. Forgiving student loans would help to close this gap and make it possible for more people to succeed, regardless of their educational background.
The wealthy have a significant amount of wealth that could be used to help address the student debt crisis. If the wealthy paid back their PPP loans and paid their fair share of taxes, it would generate an estimated $1.5 trillion in revenue. This money could be used to forgive student loans, fund education reform, or invest in infrastructure.
Forgiving student loans would not only help struggling borrowers, but it would also have a significantly larger and more positive impact on the economy than having already struggling students pay incredibly high tuition costs, with such high costs of living, with such low compensation rates for average workers.
It is time for the wealthy to pay their fair share and help address the student debt crisis. This would be a win-win for everyone involved.
@This is fine No it’s not a “win-win” cause the updated gas prices you forgot to mention that will stem from your plan will make everybody except the gas companies lose
we americans need to understad that edication is a national security issue. without and educated work force.America is not going to be able to compete in a global technology market, where these skills are absolutely necessary. Education should be free because it is a nations featur tax base. The nations with the most highly educated poulation will lead in this century.
They already own us…sold to 🍚🍚🍚🍚🥢🥢🥢by people in govt we are FORCED to pay.
Education should be paid for by the corporations who benefit from an educated workforce. Corporations have managed to offload the entire cost of training onto the workers themselves, funded by student loans.
Why should poor taxpayers pay for student debt?
poor people blaming other poor people for being poor. WAKE UP. BILLIONARES ARE LAUGHING AT YOU.
Lu Chen is not ready for national media. She attempting to read a script. The cadence and pauses make it impossible to follow. I don’t know what she even said.
Government should eliminate the interest but still make people pay for their loans.
Some of us didn’t go to college because of the debt. So why should I pay for someone else’s failure. I don’t expect anyone to pay off my credit card except for me.
Let’s face it, you just didn’t go to college… Debt didn’t have anything to do with it… Community colleges are affordable.
@Sven Valtik community college standards are so low that they dropped through the floor into the basement. horrible academics horrible professors. i wouldnt wish community college on my worst enemy.
@superblonde Then you’re going to the wrong community colleges or just using that idea as a dumb excuse…
@Sven Valtik nope you’re the one stuck in a bubble echo chamber alternate reality. community colleges are a horrible education choice now.
@svenvaltik5657 you are missing the point. I’m sure the community college grad is getting picked over the Hardvard grad.
Same or worse with credit card debt, should the taxpayer bail out the ones who charged and now don’t want to pay?
Why not? We’ve already bailed out the banks and still pay for their services, we’ve bailed out the auto industry that still sells through dealerships at a cushy 40% markup, we’ve paid dozens of millions for ppp loan forgiveness to the likes of the kardashian family, kanye west, jared kushner, tom brady, mark cuban, and nancy Pelosi’s husband to absolutely no benefit of our own. So when you think about it, the major difference is that the media has made this a major culture issue about people who paid their student loans vs people who did not. The truth is, everyone above a certain tax bracket is getting things free to them that are paid for by our tax dollars but we’re too caught up fighting over the crumbs that fell off their table to notice.
No such thing as “financial buffer” unless you are a corrupt bank!
They go into debt, they get really depressed and anxious because they can’t pay it off. Then they start drinking and doing drugs to help them through the night and before they know it, they are full on addicts living in the streets. Finally, the people who refuse to help them complain about them living in front of their house.
Should have gotten a job instead of a gender studies degree
He knows that this will never get passed. He is doing this for votes.
people can file for bankruptcy and have other debt expunged… what does someone do who jumped through all the hoops, paid for a degree, then ended up becoming chronically ill and now can’t work? Send their disability payments to Sally Mae?
Pedo joe big mad he don’t have power over the supreme court
Nope! Not paying other people’s debt. End of discussion.
He’s such an idiot. The court quoted Nancy Pelosi that the power to allocate funds is the purview of the Congress. Take a loan pay it off yourself, step up and grow a pair. For those in favor, the Heroes Act, provided 191 billion in relief for student loans already, and was passed through congress. If you have a loan you want to default on and have other people pay, did you see any of that money? I bet not. Another buy your vote campaign based on false promises. Keep your head in the sand, you look like the education you’re getting is a waste of money, So waste your own damn money and get your hands out of my pocket.
Matthew 5:42: “Do not lend money at interest to your brother, whether it be money, food, or anything else. You should not charge interest on loans to your brother.”
Exodus 22:25: “If you lend money to my people, to the poor among you, do not charge them interest as a moneylender would.”
Leviticus 25:36-37: “If you lend money to my people, to the poor among you, you shall not charge them interest as a moneylender would. You shall not give them your money at interest, nor give them your food at a profit.”
As an american business man who have traveled globally, we Americans are going to have to make very hard choices. Investment in and modernization of our crumbling infrastructure, rebuilding the middle class by providing equal access to housing education and health care. we have to tax the rich. our natinal debt is not sustainable. We are also going to have to cut defence spending. As global dedollarizatio speeds up the dollar is going to loose its global domination. This means higher inflation at home. china graduates 600,000 engineers a year and 4 million sten with no student debt. we are only graduating 60 ooo engineers a year with massive debt. If americans can not afford health care, education, housing, groceries and day care, how are we going to grow our economy? Rising Costs of living has not kept pace with wages. Neo liberal and trickledown economics had decimated the middle class. we can not or will be able to maintain our standard of living or global leadership position it we do not fix our domestic problems. Homeless Americans in our cites, sinors are been kicked out of trailer parks as corporations buy these parks and jack up the rent. wall stree is buying up residential homes to make us a nation of rentets. looting of department stores in broad light, mass shooting, road rage, these are all signes of social decay. Its time we focus on rebuilding or nation. This is not socialism but common sense.
Why isn’t this lady looking at the camera?!?!?!
No. Way! Predatory student loans that have enslaved 2 generations have a negative effect on them?! This money could be spent towards the economy instead of mega banks?! And… The housing market (aka cookie cutter apartment complexes) sucks?! Thanks yahoo. I had no idea.
This should help with inflation
She knows what she is talking about.
No one forced these people to go to college. You borrow money, you pay it back. If it’s that stressful, you shouldn’t have gone to college.
