Texas Governor Abbott is not backing down after the Department of Justice threatened to sue over the 1,000 foot wall of buoys now dividing the Rio Grande between Mexico and Texas. Abbott tweeted that the state has the “sovereign authority” to defend the border. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports.

When I want to get across a river I usually use a bridge. There are bridges across the Rio Grande aren’t there.

Looks like the barrier may prove helpful to channel illegal aliens to other points of crossing for enhanced orderly control. Orderly entry is not on the menu for those bent on crossing these barriers. They hope to avoid orderly entry to enforce their will to circumvent laws and create chaotic management of them so as to be released will nilly across the continent. It’s working.
