Flooding in and around Beijing has killed at least 20 people, according to state media. The extreme rainfall, caused by the remnants of Typhoon Doksuri, was one of the worst storms to hit northern China in years. NBC News’ Janis Mackey Frayer reports.

Many dynasties in China spent lots of money in river work to help relieve flood because of the need. Now disaster become common because of extreme weather or climate change, the more the need to do river work.
