‘I don’t care where it’s taking me.’
Two of the four Nigerian men who spent 14 days aboard a ship’s rudder as it crossed the Atlantic Ocean have applied for asylum in Brazil, saying they had no choice but to leave their country due to hardships they faced.

Unstoppable population growth in Nigeria ,drives young Nigerians to take such risks ,as too many people compete for few resources in Nigeria.
@BENARD KIPSANG you are nuts. Our population is still very small. It’s only the population of lazy people like these stupid boys that are out of control.
Retarded individual, you may need to create another covid and send there if that is your headache
Nigeria 🇳🇬 has plentiful of natural resources but is being stripped away by the western governments with some Nigerian politicians aiding the process
@Stieve-zi9le Yes nothing to do with corruption in Nigeria. If you had Rwanda’s government then you wouldn’t be so quick to blame others for your never ending failure.
Nigeria has MORE than enough resources. Thats why the we wont leave them alone. The problem is their leadership.
Like stowaway rats.
Why are they trying to get to Europe? Do they think white people are superior?
Nigerians are strong.. ..mentally and physically…
Yes, that is true.
But not strong enough to stop the corrupt Nigerian gov from stealing all the oil revenue.
Mentally strong people do not hop a ride on the rudder of a cargo ship.
World superpopulation is the problem..
The elephant in the room. :-/
Global wealth inequality is the elephant in the room.
Courage.
why don’t they instead be*head their politicians
All of them should be returned to Nigeria. Our young men are EXTREMELY lazy and entitled. Instead of working, they’d rather go to school and when they can’t get unrealistic job opportunities, they decide to go around in search of free money. Nigeria only works for those who are serious about progress, not lazy idiots like these.
Life is not easy for everyone in this world!
Yes, that is so true.
These guys managed to sail across the Atlantic sitting on a ship’s rudder – unbelievable. In rough seas, they would have drowned. But, fortune favoured the brave in this instance.
he speaks well
After all that they chose to go back to Nigeria? Also, one of the guys has a wife and kids…he definitely should not be allowed to leave his family and start a new life without them. That would be unfair to them. You shouldn’t just leave your wife and children out in the lurch like that.
U sound stupid 🤦🏾♂️ 🤷🏾♂️ and u purposely misconstrued what they said they speak good English and there is subtitles. 1st of many ppl over the globe travel far 4 work with their respective family at home, where is the abandonment. 🙃 🤔
He was tryna escape from nagging 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just imagine, spot a coastline and think you are in France, but you are just in Brazil. lol
much better
Better than Nigeria they would say
The closer Brazil ever got to being a European country
Amazing. Such mental strength
They must have been so frustrated. Such potential in Africa underutilized
I hope for a better life for them
Maybe dont have kids when you’re that poor
Wait, I don’t understand … they applied for asylum in Brazil and also requested to be sent back to Nigeria? 🤔
Won’t they be arrested and convicted for emigrating illegally?
Sounds a bit contradictory!
Probably the Brazilian and the Nigerian government doesn’t care about putting poor people in jail because they tried to immigrate
There were 4 of them. 2 chose to be sent back to Nigeria while the other 2 applied for asylum in Brazil
Such a Brave men that’s what all we need in our life to survive.
Kudos to these nija guys
Try getting a job at home
Not that easy and salary are ridiculous this days. Most salary offer can hardly feed an individual let alone a family person. Sincerely i feel bad for people knowing that i am better than a whole lot and i just could survive for myself, i can only imagine how those people that are obviously poor, earning 50k and below survive.
Fake news 😂😂… This are not 🚫 FROM NIGERIA 🇳🇬👌.
STOP 🛑 spreading Fake news al Jazeera 🎉
One is from Bayelsa state… Yes… But the other is not from Nigeria 🇳🇬👌
No hope in Nigeria
The worse is not yet seen. Foolishness and stupidity has put us in this mess
Send them back. I lived in Nigeria and they are so ignorant, they have the minds of children. They are of no use for modern countries, you have to take care of them the rest of their lives. Sad but they are too much of a problem to deal with.
😂😂😂 Asylum in Brazil- that’s a new one! No knowledge of the history of that journey at all. There are decent countries in Africa that one can live and work in instead of this modern day volunrary slave journey across the globe!Shows you the reality of the situation if 2 of the 4 opted to return back to Nigeria after that hazardous journey 🤷🏾♀️
They went to that ship risked life well knowing what they doing one thing about Nigerians are if they want something they would rather die having it than failing to try at all kudos thou u tried wrongly what’s Kool about Brazil 🇧🇷? Keep trying thou
Send them back
Thank god they survived ❤…its a miracle tho so i hope noone else decides to copy
😢😢😢
WOW!!!
Amazing absolutely, I am so pleased they made it to Brazil, far away from Britain!
