It seems the savagery of the attack may have changed Israel’s philosophy regarding hostages vis-à-vis military strategy. This may mean the terrorists miscalculated
The problem with all this is that the international community has turned a blind eye to this for so long that it has allowed the seeds of hatred to burst into untold proportions. By not enforcing the two state agreement between Palestine and Israel and supporting Israel’s genocidal tendencies there’s only so much that the Palestinians can take before they will be too filled with rage for all the injustices they have been suffering for near a hundred years already. Unfortunately politicians today don’t give a f*ck about what’s right and is all about self interest. For the US for example it is much more advantageous to them to hold a military foothold in the Middle East that have a peaceful existing two state Palestine and Israel in Jersualem. Hence they have been supplying Israel billions of dollars and even nuclear missiles since the stablishement of the state by the British Empire.

All of this could have been avoid if Israel, for the “big great state” they claim to be, did the big thing and stopped treating the gaza strip like an open air prison and instead offered innocent Palestinians a way out.
But no, they didn’t do that, so these Palestinians (who also have a right to pride to their existence and way of life) resort to terrorism and other means to get a better life, no matter the cost.
Now Israel acts like a baby, acting all overdramatic compared to the crap Israel did to Palestine (yeah, also kidnapping palestinians, r@ping young girls, soldiers on training doing whatever they want on Palestinians and other human rights abuses that even Amnesty condemns it but is sadly the only organization that does…)
Israel put this on themselves, because when you take everything out on a minority with nothing left to lose, soon enough, they’ll revolt. Now everything Israel does and says is deflecting from that fact that they are RESPONSIBLE for the death of their Israeli civilians and kidnappings. The Israeli state is responsible for the loss of innocent lives, and so are the israelis responsible themselves for not taking action against their government and organisations for the violence towards innocents in Palestine just as much as Palestinians are always blamed for doing nothing against Hamas. Why would they? Hamas is the only organisation that answers to their pride and gives solutions to their answers.
All Israel thinks of is revenge and not resolution. Combating fire with fire or even adding oil to the fire instead of extinguishing it. It shows how the Israeli state doesn’t care about it’s own innocent civilians just like how Hamas doesn’t think about the consequences of their attacks on Israel.
Despite having a so called “blockade” on the gaza strip somehow they can’t foresee such large troop movement? Or the import of weapons and such from Iran? Makes it highly skeptical that this was a surprise. They more or less LET this happen as an excuse to invade and conquer.

In 1947, there was both Israel and Palestinian land. Israel was OK. But the Arabs and Palestinians wanted to eliminate Israel. Israel won all the wars and got all the land. I pray Israel changes their gun laws. So many Men who were in the military at home on the boarder NOT armed. The citizens could have easily defeated Hamas had they had rifles.
