Never-before-seen footage from the set of ‘Rust’ taken days before the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins was exclusively obtained by NBC News. The video shows Alec Baldwin preparing for scenes, firing weapons and interacting with crew members. NBC News’ Chloe Melas reports.
The videos are among dozens that special prosecutors requested from Rust Movie Productions LLC in the spring and didn’t receive until October, according to a source familiar with the matter. NBC News hasn’t reviewed the rest of the videos.

“You’ve got the wrong man. Nothin’ touched the trigger but the Devil’s right hand”
– Johnny Cash
I’m confused on why he’s getting charged. He was doing his job and unfortunately the gun was loaded and that poor woman lost her life. But wasn’t it an accident?
Yes, you are confused. Baldwin is being charged, because he chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
Give it a rest. Baldwin is innocent of all charges
Liar. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
BS. Guns don’t go off by themselves
I don’t see how these clips prove he’s guilty. If anything it’s the opposite. I still firmly believe it was the armorer
Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. The job of an armorer is to inventory and maintain firearms, which she did just fine- Baldwin’s gun didn’t get lost, and it operated perfectly. Armorers are not RSOs (Range Safety Officers). And neither armorers nor RSOs are responsible for what other people choose to do with a firearm. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
what changed
What do you mean?
Hollywood celebrity is going DOWN!
He can share a cell with Trump! 😂
That would go over well
More like Bumblebrain Biden and his crime family.
Red Dead Baldwin
He did not pull the trigger or did he inhale.
😂
People heard gun shots they called the police. When the police got their Baldwin’s did not know it’s a real gun
Liar. Baldwin was the producer- Baldwin chose to use a real firearm.
He should do the honourable thing for her family and own up instead of telling one lie after another. Her family must think he thought nothing about her. He won’t go to jail but the family will have closure. As it is he is blaming everyone encluding her but not himself.. If he owned up people would think more of him and not this hate that’s directed at him..
The two tier justice system trying to protect their leftist shills like Alex baldin. That’s why this video took so long to come out
Lock him up
Why are they allowed to recharge him? That sounds like double jeopardy right? Im confused – I thought our legal system wasn’t supposed to allow that.
Wrong. There is no double jeopardy- Baldwin has never been tried for killing his victim.
This is stupid. Dude didn’t try killing anyone so how
This actor is racist…
Prop guns should require triangular shaped charges not cylindrical.
He killed a talented person. Mother and a wife. He is an adult – has to face consequences of his own actions.
More news posting bs clickbait. Wish we had actual journalists and legitimate reporting but the news along with majority of social media is just a cesspool of propaganda and money hungry bigots.
He should be charged to the fullest extent
Where’s the double jeopardy law?
It’s in the 5th Amendment. What’s your point?
New evidence allows another trial.
@Thomas Henebry What do you mean “another” trial? Baldwin has never been tried for negligently killing his victim.
“Footage obtained exclusively by ABC News”… wow, someone made bank selling these clips.
I dont get it… if he said things like “i dont want to shoot towards you”, then wouldnt he be vindicated?
” boot hill ” is full of People killed with ” empty ” guns ! Better check em ! Better yet ” don’t point a gun at anyone You don’t want to shoot ” A.B. !!!
I’m gonna say it. I don’t think he should be charged for this. I don’t see how this is anyone else’s fault other than the armorer’s.
That’s because you know nothing. The job of an armorer is to inventory and maintain firearms, and she did that just fine- Baldwin’s gun didn’t get lost, and it functioned perfectly. Armorers are not RSOs (Range Safety Officers). And neither armorers nor RSOs are responsible for what other people choose to do with a firearm. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence..
He made fun of tRump; of course he’s going down.
In fact, there’s your sinister plot right there
The question is: If Alex had to point that gun at his own head, would he have checked it more carefully?
There seems to be so much wrong with this production that culminated into this tragic shooting. From budget cuts on health and safety, staff walking out, firing live rounds between shoots, employing an inexperienced armourer who had a past record of being reckless and you have Alex Baldwin who can be very intimidating to staff – to the baffling questions of how a live round got into the chamber of a gun and was fired unchecked by an experienced actor who has handled weapons many times. Time constraints? Lack of staff? Poor organisation? Complacency perhaps?
A trial needs to have these questions answered and until it does, many people have played their part in this… particularly Alex who is the producer, has most power on set and is the one who fired the gun.
I knew at age 7 to treat all guns as they were real and loaded. He knew better too.
HAS ANYONE CONSIDERED SHE WANTED TO COMMIT SUICIDE AND CHOSE THIS PLAN. MAYBE IT WAS HER SICK PLAN.
That’s it, step away from the bong.
I mean by the look of her she was probably a lefty.
Seems strange.. like an attack on a character. Why was there a live round to begin with?? Definitely a setup.
To be honest, what you just show to us proves that he was very cautious and considerated of the people working around him. He even said he didn’t want to shoot towards people and for them to move.
You hear facts about films like “they actually used real guns on set to give it a more authentic feel” And people applaud and call them artists. Then this happens and they withhold evidence and let a murderer go
Live round in a gun while filming a movie should never happen under any circumstances. This stuff needs to be double, triple checked for safety. Fatal accidents happen because of extreme negligence. It’s extremely tragic yet very easily avoidable. Someone didn’t do their job and someone paid the price with their life as a result.
Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
This is pointless
The footage makesn It quite obvious that he doesnt want to shoot anyone. . .
Well, he DID shoot someone.
Everything in this video shows he has safety as the primary concern…how is this supposed to be damning evidence?
Yes showing him being precautious. Great! The problem that I have is Alec Baldwin interview saying ” I was told the gun was empty. They told me they handed me an empty gun. ”
It doesn’t matter what expert or whoever hands you an ” empty gun” . It is your responsibility to check it anyway no matter what, every single time without fail.
Not on a movie. It’s the armorer’s job to do that as an average actor wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
@Chris Warden no. It’s the responsibility of the recipient also. No matter what. Especially if they had to take gun safety classes. it is always the recipients responsibility as well. Have you never had training?
@Isaac Hollister yes I have but you clearly haven’t. If you did you would be aware of that firearms protocol on a shooting range is completely different than a movie set. Hence why Baldwin wasn’t charged
@Chris Warden Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. Basic firearms safety rules apply to everyone, everywhere, all the time. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence, in violation of New Mexico’s Involuntary Manslaughter statute 30-2-3.
@Chris Warden Wrong again. The armorer’s job is to inventory and maintain firearms, and she did that just fine- She didn’t lose Baldwin’s gun, and Baldwin’s gun functioned perfectly. Armorers are not RSOs (Range Safety Officers). And neither armorers nor RSOs are responsible for what other people choose to do with a firearm.
Baldwin showing concern for the cameramen running up and down hills really is damning evidence… 🙄 We will have to see what the other videos have on them.
I really don’t understand why they are trying to bring this man down. It’s clearly an accident. In this video he seems to be very concerned with the crew safety so how on earth does this go against him? I swear it’s like the matrix or the simulation that we’re in is so backed up in its data, now everything is just Mumbo jumbo. This doesn’t event make sense.
That’s because you know nothing. Baldwin chose to use a real firearm as a movie prop, and then Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence, in violation of New Mexico’s Involuntary Manslaughter statute 30-2-3.
Choose the liberal guy to play a cowboy and handle firearms. This is what you get when Hollywood is out of touch and when Baldwin himself is out of touch from gun handlers safety.
Is everybody crazy? A prop is made harmless so that an actor can safely fake doing the things that would be dangerous if it were real and loaded. By what possible logic can he be held guilty? This is one of the things that shake my faith in the basic sanity of us humans.
Then seek competent professional mental health care. The word “prop” doesn’t mean “fake”, it is short for the word “property”, meaning it is the property of the production. Productions are run by producers. and Baldwin was the producer. It was Baldwin’s decision to use a real firearm as a movie “prop”.
Lol
I would rather be the one gone than having to deal with this crap. What a nightmare.
This is definitely not baldwins fault in any manner. And it’s disgusting to try and blame it on him.. my heart goes out to him and also the deceased
Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. Baldwin is 100% at fault. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
He is a despicable person him and his looney wife’s behavior after this was disgusting. To claim he didn’t fire the shot when he did speaks volume about him.
Anyone else would be tried for murder.
Involuntary Manslaughter (New Mexico statute 30-2-3) is the crime Baldwin committed by negligently killing his victim.
OK but this is days before, not the tragedy footage….
He’s looking rough without Adrina chrome
Why isnt there a “prop” gun business that only fits blanks and could never be loaded with other kinds of bullets? Billions of dollars and nobody thought. Hmm, lets make these a little different
There already is. But Baldwin specified using a real firearm as a movie prop.
That killer has to be in jail time already… no justice for his crimes…why he’s not ? because he is a “celebrity” give me a break…
but he is celebrity though
There should not be live rounds on a movie set period..
New footage.
I don’t know but you guys proved he’s innocent to me he was more worried about there safety to me
What a joke. Baldwin is completely innocent.
Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. Baldwin is completely guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter under New Mexico statute 30-2-3, because he killed his victim through his own negligence.
AB obviously didn’t intend the horrible tragedy. Preventable mistakes (which are unfortunately a problem in every industry on the planet), are on increase with staff that are outsourced, improperly trained, too young or inexperienced, to handle the job. Unless some sick person intentionally loaded the weapon with real bullet, it appears that girl whose job it was to CHECK the gun, failed to do so. You check, then check again, with another set of eyes supervising. Lastly, Don’t hire bimbos to save money.
Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. The female was the armorer. The armorer’s job is to inventory and maintain firearms, and she did that just fine- Baldwin’s gun didn’t get lost, and it functioned perfectly. Armorers are not RSOs (Range Safety Officers). And neither armorers nor RSOs are responsible for what other people choose to do with a firearm. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
Problem is everybody mistreated a real gun without any safety checks. After this im sure actirs, actresses and the prop handler will be doing more saftety checks now. They got complacent and they used these guns fir live tartget shooting after filming.
Who puts away a a gun with live rounds and sets its aside ti be used as a prop the next day?
This just shows to many people had acess to the gun and not enough safery checks before being used again.
How did a live round get into a prop gun? Someone tampered with it so who?? Was there a cctv footage showing the person?
They were using same guns for target practice with live rounds in free time.
@star4490 What difference does it make, how a live round got into Baldwin’s gun? Putting a live round in a gun is not a crime. But Involuntary Manslaughter (New Mexico Section 30-2-3) IS a crime, a crime that Baldwin committed when he chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety, pointed a loaded gun at innocent people, manually cocked the hammer all the way back, put his finger on the trigger, and pulled it, killing his victim through his own negligence.
He seems to be very hard to work with too
Even people who impersonate Trump are being charged.
Sorry Alec, but you always always check a gun for yourself. Gun safety 101
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy
You should have checked it anyway pal!!
When does this movie come out? Lol
I enjoy this channel in general, but the clickbait is starting to turn me off. I understand it’s the name of the game, but it’s veering into switch force territory.
All else aside. Who was holding the gun? Okay then. It’s terrible but that’s that.
Hannah and nepotism is the reason this happened! That woman has no clue about guns she was hired because of her fathers reputation
Wrong. Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. She was the armorer. The job of the armorer is to inventory and maintain firearms, and she did that just fine- she didn’t lose Baldwin’s gun, and Baldwin’s gun functioned perfectly. Armorers are not RSOs (Range Safety Officers). And neither armorers nor RSOs are responsible for what other people choose to do with a firearm. Baldwin chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence, in violation of New Mexico’s Involuntary Manslaughter statute 30-2-3.
few people were careless, cant just say that happened magically, somebody needs to take responsibility
I don’t care about anything, he should have checked the firearm himself
To be honest with this footage he obviously was cautious with peoples safety even telling the crew not to run up the hills there’s way more that we dont know. May the camera woman rest in peace.
Can you translate that into English?
@Dorton Farb It’s English my bru.
Double jeopardy.
Wrong. Baldwin has never been tried for his crime, so double jeopardy does not apply.
It wasn’t his fault, they are just going after him for the money. It was whoever was in charge of the props
Lol. Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. It is COMPLETELY Baldwin’s fault.
” I was told I was handed a unloaded gun” and the problem with that is you didn’t check it yourself as you should have rule number one..
Bingo.
How does that make anyone think he’s guilty of shooting someone knowing it was a loaded gun? Ridiculous. Actors are ALWAYS supposed to be holding guns that ARE NOT loaded. It’s the responsibility of the person who gives the actors the “prop” guns in the first place! Seriously? 😐
It’s also the responsibility of the person receiving the gun (Alec Baldwin in this case) to verify that the gun is empty. And then, it was Baldwin’s responsibility to obey all basic firearms safety rules. But Baldwin chose not to check the gun to see if it was loaded, before he chose to violate every single basic rule of firearms safety by pointing a loaded firearm at innocent people, manually cocking the hammer all the way back, putting his finger on the trigger, and pulling it, killing his victim through his own negligence, in violation of New Mexico’s Involuntary Manslaughter statute 30-2-3.
Alex killed a guy
They didn’t test the gun??? 🫣
What the heck are you talking about?
dont let women charge a gun
She didn’t “charge” any guns.
What about the footage of January 6th that Tucker Carlson showed?
It is either not on purpose or sabotage making it involuntary man slaughter or murder not involuntary if it was maybe premeditated
Can you translate that into English?
Bout time. ⚔️🗿
So what is it that should happen? Should he be in prison for an accident? I guess many do go to jail for accidents…do the family and friends want him to be jailed? Should the production pay the family for the loss of life? Millions? Meh…who cares…move on.
Seems like the lawyers and propaganda did their jobs well. So much misinformation. He should have been charged from the start. He killed that girl whether he intended to or not is the courts job.
Why is the armorer not held accountable ffs because she’s woke
A cop recently told me when somebody dies somebody has to go to jail. I told him not true if you win public opinion.
He is a scary son of a gun.
😮
Probably on the flight log
Three rules of touching a firearm….
That’s so interesting but my thoughts on the matter is how long will Hollywood allow this to go on for with this message lingering on with “a star will fall grab an edge cover up what you see”
It’s called the hand of god
