#SamAltman #OpenAI #Microsoft
The People have the power. They always have had it.
Nah, the rich, the famous, the corporations, and the powerful hold all the power. They just pretend, sometimes, to let the people have their way but really… they’re in control. Just like wives do to husbands.
Sam Altman has the power
And the monkeys he controls love it
Sam Altman to OpenAI is like Sam Bankman-Fried to FTX. Altman did and still wants to proceed with something unethical within the development and utilization of AI programs at OpenAI while covered it up and lied to the board-members, hence the firing. Microsoft picked him up is a mistake, unless they’re welcoming this unethical use of AI in their future plans.
The newly appointed interim CEO, Emmet Shear has said that the boards claims were untrue. The entire thing the board posted about Sam being ‘not consistently candid in his communications’ was just an excuse to justify the move. Literally 90% of the people that work there have signed a petition that they will leave and follow Sam if the board does not bring Sam back. If they follow through with that threat, OAI is dead in a month.
Bot
it was just a mistake they made to fire him, they said it
What is unethical?
@Victor Bash Nah.
That Gent.must stop lying Nd learn how to grow up by your own feets. He is warnimg me again that he will using a black magic to controlbme for anotjer serveral years ..pls. eveyone tell me of his name I must see him in the court…it is insane to have a stranger, a Man control a woman life..is is wait a human life., reduce a woman gain

Microsoft is the big winner. It will end up having either a strong control over Open AI or hiring the majority of brains from Open AI.
Microsoft only cares about one thing and that is themselves. The only winner is them. Sam lost, Greg lost, OpenAI lost, and we ChatGPT users lost. This sucks!
Like the sage said: “We’ll see”. No one is with a crystal ball here… let alone reading one.
MS is trying to control the chaos, the reason they hired Altman is proof of that. there’s absolutely zero chance they were prepared for this move, but rather they are trying to stop the bleeding and avoid having Altman (and specially Brockman who is the mastermind behind chatgpt) who somewhere else and become competition.. it won’t last though.
@alexleanh And you will come back to my comment later and say “Oh my bad, you were right, bruh. Watch and see. 😂
@steppenwolf Oh please. They are big corp and only care about their bank account. You need to wake the F*up.Stop being a Microsoft fan. boy.
When leaders treat their staff well the staff will stand up for their leader in times like these. Perfect Example here
How do you know Sam treated his staff well? Did you work there… and with him? Do a quick search on the subject then you will think differently.
They are all a bunch of psychopaths living in a fantasy land.
Who are the current board members?
hippies
It’s Steve Jobs all over again!
Obviously don’t know the internal details, but as an outside observer it just looks like a mistake. ChatGPT is an outrageous success and Sam Altman has been a great poster-boy. His interviews both in and out of mainstream media have shown him to be a great level-headed communicator and champion for the brand – not an easy replacement for sure.
He’s pretty replaceable, just another smooth talking head. It’s Brockman who they wanted to keep for obvious reasons
@st3ppenwolf I wouldn’t be so quick to say that, considering Brockman quit in protest hours after Altman was ousted (according to an article i read yesterday on Bloomberg). Altman has shown success, no guarantee the next guy will do the same.
Looks like Sam was more into building a network of loyalists eh?
I dont know of any other CEO that has that kind of loyalty from his crew. I only see him from his PR side, as he speaks on the internet, but it looks like he is a great boss as well as a face man.
Guy is the devil
Don’t be fooled, this is not about ethics, or regulations. It’s about profit, one group wants to continue an opensource-open AI, while the other group demands profit for the future of the company(make the investors happy)
Maybe is all plotted to move completely away from that ‘open source’ / ‘public domain’ leash 🤔
If you luv’d Bill and Windows 10, it just got much better.
What occurs behind the doors of OpenAI is ClosedToU&Me.
The employees got Chatgpt to write the letter
I don’t understand how a CEO, founder and inventor gets ousted from his own creation
Well!!!!!!!
Oh humans and money.
