Tesla officially began deliveries of its Cybertruck with a price tag starting at $61,000. Tesla CEO Elon Musk originally announced the polarizing vehicle in 2019. Yahoo Finance Live presents an outlook of everything you need to know about Tesla’s latest offering.

First announced in November 2019.
Wow! 4 years now
@@garyprater8139 They could have launched it when they announced it. But they didn’t have it done.
They spent the four years improving it@@itzhexen0
That was a concept vehicle that they announced on 2019. And now it’s released. What’s your point?
Wait, Tacoma is No. 1 while the vehicle is not available in the market? 😂
Merci
It’s like he does not know what he’s doing. But money make people want to kiss 🍑 and not critically see things for the merits. “The emperor is FULLY CLOTHED”🤨🤨🤨
Reviewers are saying it’s amazing.
The reviewers seem to review it like a car.
It’s hideous it looks like a literal stainless steel refrigerator
Engine?
This commentaries don’t know what their talking about. Horse power is not used on EV it’s on kwp the prices is acceptable. I think yahoo don’t like Elon Musk and jealousy and politics are eating them up.
This is all from before the delivery event…. come on, give us some real news.
The top three concerns of those who actually need a truck are payload, towing, and range. This will fail all three.
2500 on payload. Literally tons!!!
@@smartelectriccar2306 With the extended battery pack taking up space, I think not.
Finally a Ranchero for the 2020s. It has been a long time without one.
Only 3 days in from initial sales but the Cybertruck looks like a successful product so far… as the customer waiting list is still over a year long…. the only issue for Tesla at this point is how quickly can they ramp up the production in order to secure their long list of pre order sales?
It might be an extremely successful product, it’s just impossible for anybody to know right now.
Well, I’m just going to save this one off in my “stock market” folder and see how well it ages in a year. 😎😎
Sure…gen z will flock to a 80k dollar car and even the 60k version coming sometime in 2025 is a question mark at the current moment.. Also those pre-orders were for 100 dollars originally so at this point there is no way to know how many people will actually go all the way.
OMG does like salad dressing now??
you must be into toss salad
Most daily drivers go under 100mi per day. We do know where to charge it – at home.
Legacy trucks produce little excitement.
Tesla Model Y is best selling car in the world for a good reason.
Wow these are some bad takes. 😅😂 I don’t even know where to begin, but to say Tesla is pivoting is so dumb. It’s not even explainable how dumb it is.
This is not a good truck for sportsmen and general contractors. You cant really put a utility camper shell over the back which is a problem for a lot of hunters and fishermen. I dont see it as a good vehicle to tow boats and campers because of charging infrastructure and crummy range when any ev tows something. That bed and cover limit a lot of modifications that contractors routinely make to haul ladders and long materials. I suppose it is ok for a yuppy puppy truck. The fact that TESLA is offering a range extender that will limit the bed use and make it weigh even more is just absurd. Most serious auto and truck enthusiasts will think of it more as an “Edsel” or a “Homer” than a HALO vehicle.
I don’t know where those competing models are coming from if the legacy OEMs are cutting back on production. Seems like for the foreseeable future, Tesla is going to gain market share again.
Cybertruck will go down in history as the 21st century Edsel.
Don’t bother cross shopping this thing, if you’re not VERY high on the waiting list you can’t get one for years. When they are available to anyone it will be much better and cheaper like all Tesla cars. As always price will follow demand and that’s very bad news for anyone who wants one soon. I waited one year and saved $20.000 on a Model Y and the build quality and specs are better than the old ones. I was not willing to pay $70K but when it got to $50k it was worth it.
Yeah bc almost everyone can afford a $60000 truck that looks like it’s from a sci fi movie😅
