General Motors (GM) will be laying off about 1,300 workers at two plants in Michigan. The move comes after GM announced it would be delaying the production of its electric pickup trucks to 2025.

I worked as an RN in several GM plants throughout Michigan. Without any doubt, some of the most spoiled, entitled, arrogant and drunk stoners I have EVER seen !! Literally stoned at the gate and once inside they sleep 🛌. And they wonder why GM builds the absolute biggest piles of steaming 💩 on the road. I actually forbid my family from EVER owning any GM products because their lives are very important !

While whitless claims to be creating jobs, the govt. motors and the rest of the mindless uaw, are losing their hind ends on junk battery garbage. They will eat them before they ever sell them.
You can lay off all you want but those battery cars are way to expensive those batteries are thousands compared to a couple a hundred the trucks are over 100 thousand your really not making any difference when America not the biggest polluter China is (Lithium) is bad for the environment.

Both. The UAW is trying to get as much as it can, but the C-suite people are trying to grab as much as they can before the whole thing goes tits up.
They created jobs and now they can create robots to do those jobs.

So let me get this straight, they have a diversity hire for a CEO and her great strategy to “turn the company around” is to lay off 1300 workers and lean more towards electric vehicles, something in which the demand for them is completely and totally stagnant. Brilliant! GM is a complete and total dumpster fire of it’s former self. I have no doubt that American workers can put out a great product, but these CEOs continue to use cheap parts that fail prematurely, (the AFM/DOD lifters that only save 2-5% on gas mileage) and the unions which have essentially priced these workers out of a job. What a complete and total failure all around.
I am so happy to see the UAW get exactly what they deserve and what people told them what would happen. Just like most Americans I won’t buy a UAW product again
