It was both a commemoration of the nation’s independence 53rd Victory Day, and a protest against what demonstrators say is government oppression – as it plans for a general elections in January.

Bangladesh is going to become a playground for Russia and America. Both of them are strategically moral and not consistently moral. And the current regime is just siding with whatever helps them survive. Currently the regime has shifted towards China and Russia as these countries can help them stay in power while on the other hand our entire country functions and is dependent solely on the garments industry which has the majority of the consumers from the west. America currently doesn’t want the entire region around these countries to group up as it may lead to god forbid another world war, at the same time it also wants to remain as the only country with the power to influence. The common people currently chose to support western interference such as trade sanctions, visa sanctions etc. Don’t get me wrong, the only reason people support the strategies that are being taken by the west is because it would definitely help cause an uproar in the country and this would help the people to get rid of the current regime. Its just that our goals are different but the methods that will help both the people of Bangladesh and the west have aligned. However Russia and China doesn’t want America to interfere in the nearby countries. At the end of the day, the voices of the average Bangladeshis are not going to be heard as the superpowers collide and make their own narratives.
