I know Trans Right and Disability Rights we’re connected.
They really are. As a straight white cis disabled person, I can honestly say, I didn’t realize that they were connected until I became disabled. But my access to healthcare can be denied, and has been denied based on the fact that I’m disabled. The same argument is made to denied trans people access to healthcare. The argument is that the care we need is outside of the norm… so therefore it doesn’t need to be provided to us. It’s a BS argument. But we live in a world where disabled people are regularly discriminated against and no one bats an eye. Same thing for trans people. Both types of discrimination are wrong.
@@carlyar5281 Yeah now I see why you are on that other post lying about older public buildings being exempt from new code for disabled people. Just stop.
God bless her but you don’t have anymore rights than me.
why cut her off ???
People are so judgmental.
this woman is shouting and I dont understand why
then turn ur hearing aid down.
The fact that she was still able to make and star in movies, giving such amazing performances, even with her disability looming over her, is such a testament to her strength and inner character. Now to take on advocacy shows that she is just as, if not more, beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. May God bless her journey and all those who are living with any kind of disability.
I’m confused. What “rights” don’t disabled persons have right now?
Well, for starters, the right to be believed. Many people simply ignores them and/or think they are drunk, high, lazy, or pretending.
The right to have a job. Have you ever had a co-worker with a disability? What do you think that Human Resources prefer when given a choice between two candidates, one with a regular resume, and other with a better resume but in a wheelchair? Do you think many companies are willing to put ramps, modify a toilet, lower the height of some devices? Put the disabled person in contact with the clients?
And that’s only the beginning for someone in a wheelchair. Imagine a blind or deaf person, someone who lost both hands, or who has a mental disability. Look around in your job, and think how those people could fit in.
You might want to talk with a disabled person, or google tge lives of this actress, or Michael J. Fox, or other disabled activists, to know what are those rights you wonder about. There are plenty of things that for you are a given (like to be seen as possibly capable and worthy of at least a try in a new job) that disabled people need to fight for years to achieve.
@@emaarredondo-librarian Wow did you really just say all that? That happened awhile back and its code when building nowadays to have ALL those things you said they do not have. Just stop.
I’m disabled and been waiting 2 years for Social Security yet many people get it handed out to them.
@@GoodGrief129 I suggest you talk to actual disabled folks… and also, the first sentence from @emaarrendondo was “The right to be believed.” And, yet, here you are not believing what actual disabled folks are telling you. Yes, new buildings need to be build to code with ADA in mind… but older buildings don’t… and if a company doesn’t have to, they might go with the person that wouldn’t mean having to build a ramp or widen the walkways or doors, etc. What’s law and what’s reality are usually two different things.
@@EricaGamet Are you claiming that old buildings are not forced to bring their buildings up to code? If you are that is a flat out lie. Talk to disabled people? I work construction.
Today’s MTP looks like an edited collection of past episodes I remember seeing already.
Yet another story about the victim Olympics.
Im impressed that she is helping people! Nothing can bring her down! Unstoppable!
I wonder what’s causing this. Something beyond the paradigms we have and use. I suppose there are paradigms we don’t know of yet.
She is an inspiration!
💙❤💚💜🤍😀
Selma Blair called me friend the N word at our store.
😮😮
Really? Is there footage of that or are you a troll who just hates Selma Blair?
How about increasing ssi and ssdi pay for disabled individuals since most of them become homeless due to
How about increasing ssi and ssdi for disabled individuals so they don’t become homeless or lose money
I wish but the government would never do that. They are too busy producing new weapons and wasting money on other things.
These are all repeats from prior shows.
Increasing disability benefits would help ppl with disability and the right to work without any penalty to keep up with inflation i admire her being able to advocate for people with disability it really hard for ppl with disabilities
She is so brave and beautiful ❤️
It would be nice if something changed… But as a disabled American man, I don’t see it ever happening. The government won’t even give those of us who are disabled enough money to live on, let alone provideaws that actually protect us against discrimination.
Where is the rest of the interview?? It just cuts off when she starts her story.
Hello everyone! I’m disabled with lupus for 33 years I’m trying to live well eat well keep busy also yes there is discriminating people I was because I walked with a limp also closed a store because of it😊 didn’t receive lots of money either just making a point😊 from mara now could stand only 15 min have a great day! Happy hoildays😊🎉👋👩🦼👩🍳🎁🎁🎄🤩😂👋👩🦼
Indeed if you don’t outwardly look disabled then people don’t understand. I’m a stroke survivor that uses a cane and has Ataxia.
why do reporters SPEAK LIKE THIS now?
This actress is a zionist. Her advocacy isnt worth much if she cant even extend it to thousands of people becoming disabled in one second when their legs are amputated by bombs and falling buildings as she speaks from the white house and hollywood.
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Wow she is better than
People need to educated themselves. Almost all these diseases cdc knows and allows so they can sell you medications that masks symptoms and don’t cure at root problems for greed. Read what Carnegie and Rockefeller did to make it this system. They intentionally keep your body low frequency to get sick. High frequency body doesn’t get sick. Lyme lab made. Almost all diseases has some for of the Lyme spirochetes bacteria. Different strains is different symptoms. Start detoxing the blood. Use binders to remove heavy metals. Start supplements that attack bio film, bacteria, and fungus. This is crimes against humanity and they know it and expect you to be too dumb to know.
Start using etymology and strongs concordance. Find out what Asclepius is(satans medical symbol). World Health Organization uses Asclepius. Caduceus is Gods medical symbol. Eat high frequency foods raise the body frequency. Pharmacy in etymology is poison, magic, sorcery. Bible states all nations DECEIVED by their sorcery.
She is a celebrity wealthy Caucasian woman and she is not accessible for others to talk to and has the world at her feet and is beloved by millions of people
I would just like people to see me as the awesome person i am, instead of
1) with sympathy (i don’t need it)
2) like I’m a nuisance
3) like I’m an infant (I’m a grown adult, treat me like one)
3) not seeing me (or pretending not to) at all
Just because I can’t use my legs doesn’t mean I’m not the same as all the folks using their legs.
❤ End rant lol
👍🏻👍🏻 You rock and I see you! 🤩
Don’t put on activists we have enough division hate and stupidity
Yessssss go on and liveeeee♥️💙 peace and blessings 🥰
NBC = Far Left PROPAGANDA
Selma Blair 🎭♥️🎭
Thank you for your advocacy!!! My daughter has T1D and your work is inspiring for everyone with disabilities!! Blessings to you!
All these creepy Hollyweird demons want to stay relevant in any way they possibly can!
Just give me a break‼️👹👿
It’s about time we got an advocate! Ableism kills and invisible disabilities are not widely accepted. Pain meds for patients are prosthetics and we are not addicts.
Yes!!!
My first incidence of MS was at age 9. I do not take immunosuppressants because with these human-enhanced viruses are potentially lethal. My first optic neuritis was after the birth of first child at age 21.
This reporter is uncomfortable to watch. I feel like she might jump out of the screen.
Why is this woman speaking so forcefully? Does she think she needs to yell at the camera? Very annoying.
