I appreciatedvery much what Tim had to say about the church. I ended up leaving my church in 2010 when, as Trump laid the Birtherism consiratorial groundwork, to weaponize the church against President Obama. And now the church is just an ugly shadow of what it once was.

If you’re not disabled, you JUST CAN’T KNOW the myriad ways our society works against us. I had no idea until I became disabled 8 years ago at the age of 51 with severe dysautomnia. I can’t walk far or stand for more than a few minutes without nausia and fainting. But my brain is fine, and I’m perfectly capable of doing my job as a college professor. However, just TRY walking into a job interview with a cane or (God forbid) the rolling walker that I sometimes bring to insure I can always sit when I need to. Institutions put so much lovely-sounding verbage into non-discrimination, but DON’T YOU BELIEVE IT! First glance of those medical devices by the hiring committee, and you are out of the pool! 😡
