Honda (HMC) is recalling 2.5 million cars after reporting a fuel pump issue that could put drivers at risk of a crash. This follows Toyota’s (TM) recent recall of 1 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles with airbag issues, and a recall from Tesla’s (TSLA) last week.
Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore joins Yahoo Finance Live to weigh in on the influx of recalls and what this suggests about the automobile industry. Migliore does not see this recall as a negative, stating “automakers are becoming increasingly proactive,” which will ultimately benefit the customers.
Migliore notes that in Honda’s case the fix will be a “fairly simple.”

Omg….they say that this guy is an “expert” when the reporters had to explain to this guy that Tesla update is Over the Air but he said the dealer had to flash it. I don’t think he has a clue of what he’s talking about
Ok. My question is what the hell did Honda do to get this negative media attention? Anyone know?
They’re great cars and perhaps they want to add a little something something to cause a problem in the future. I have trust issues.
@@zinnia3684 Hondas have been rolling out junk for years now. Stay far away
The quality was poor for the 2017-2018 Honda civic, I’m constantly taking my car in and they “fix the issue” for $800-$3500 just to find out it was something else all along. First they swapped the ac unit, then they changed the gaskets, car would be fine for a week then stall in the middle of a turn with oncoming traffic. Super dangerous. Not to mention the oil dilution that is constantly depreciating your cars value. Whoever is running the manufacturer does not have the same values they used to and it shows in their product especially 2017-2018. Thank god no one was hurt when i stalled in front of incoming traffic but they still don’t want to help me even with the recall.
Tesla didn’t actually have to recall their cars. It was literally just a software update
It is a recall and the remedy is an update. That’s all
What vehicles? You couldn’t tell us the models and years?? Yap, yap, yap, little substance.
