The med spa I went to had a Physician that owned and oversaw the spa. I had the eyelids tattooed with eyeliner. No problems. So sad what happened to the lady that passed away.

Question your laser tech too. You don’t need to be a doctor to own a med spa in some states and that’s ok too as long as there are licensed advanced estheticians, assuming lasers are involved

Awful to say but the physicians ‘supervising’ these can supervise often up to four facilities and are not on site. They may even have another full time job. These are often run or even owned by nurses and physician assistants. The only reason the owners bring in a doctor is to satisfy loose legal requirements and the doctor carries all liability. Patients should demand the doctor be on site full time and things would change. No one should die due to incompetence for something that has no evidence to support its effectiveness. IVs help dehydration, hangovers and conditions that result from dehydration such as migraines and fatigue but drinking water is also effective. There are multivitamins and fruits and vegetables that provide the electrolytes.
