North Korean leader Kim Jong Un says US policy towards the Korean peninsula is making war inevitable.
Kim was speaking at an end-of-year Workers’ Party meeting in Pyongyang.
He said deployment of US military assets in the region, had turned South Korea into an American military base.
Kim also announced he’ll no longer pursue reconciliation and reunification with South Korea — blaming defence ties between Seoul and Washington.
Inbum Chun, a former South Korean Special Forces Commander says tensions are high between Pyongyang and Seoul and both sides need to exercise caution.

For everybody pointing to North Koreas inadequacies, you would be correct. However, their ties to China, Russia and Iran must be considered before laughing them off.
The under fed and malnourished N.Korean army is a joke. The only purpose they could serve is if N.Korea were attacked by ground forces from another country. They would never be sent to another country to fight because 90% of them would throw down their weapons and surrender. I lived in Seoul for 5 years. It’s not becoming a US military base. It’s been one for years. I mean there’s a giant military base in the centre of the capital. I was even stopped by US MP’s checking if I was out after curfew. When I opened my mouth and they heard I was not American they were polite and left me alone, but still.
If I was the president I would invite Kim Jung Un to the USA, and give him a few beautiful women who are still virgins as a gift. That’s how you improve diplomatic relations, because after all Americans are the good guys and we only want world peace. The key is how do you obtain it.
