Ethan Brown is one of the leaders taking on the meat industry, as Founder and CEO of Beyond Meat (BYND). Brown has managed to make deals with brands like Target (TGT) and Dunkin Donuts, and in May of 2019 he took the company public as part of the plant-based meat boom. Brown invited Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi to Beyond Meat headquarters in El Segundo, CA to share insights on what it takes to lead the company through the challenges of competing in the meat industry and the qualities that keep him going, like building a trustworthy team, focusing on the company’s true mission of changing how consumers consume meat, and embracing failure along the way. “We have to figure out how to get people comfortable with quick iteration, quick failure, and then quick recovery,” says Brown. “It’s a big part of our culture.” Beyond Meat is not the only brand in the plant-based meat space, with many competitors, including Nomad (NOMD) and Impossible Foods. Traditional meat companies, like Tyson (TSN) and Cargill, are also adding plant-based meat offerings. Brown is aware of this reality and leads to create a sense of urgency within the company. “There’s always somebody that’s working really hard,” Brown says. “If it doesn’t motivate you enough to just bring this goodness to the world, you know, competition can also motivate you.” Lead This Way is a new series that features personal, in-depth interviews with the business leaders shaping our world today. Except that your body doesn’t recognize it as organic matter and doesn’t properly digest it. It builds up a sludge in your colon over time.
Look up what Soy Hemoglobin does to your body… It’s cancerous and kills lab animals. It’s what gives impossible meat it’s color and bloody appearance.
Please start being more cautious of what you eat. Especially since the FDA just gave the green light on lab grown meats.. Which are grown from cultured animal cancer cells, since cancer are the fastest growing cells..

what happened to Beyond Meat Italian sausages at Costco? And why do I not see the jerky at places like Whole Foods or Costco? those two products by Beyond Meat are incredible.. It is amazing to know that Italian sausages can be cooked in the microwave and they are amazing.. they don’t need a grill to cook them. Also, I am not even seeing Beyond Burger patties at Costco. Please explain why your products are in Costco? BTW, check out what Loma Linda Foods is doing with their shelf-stable southwest chipotle bowls. Those are ready to eat from the pouch.. but can be also warmed in the microwave to the desired temp.
that must be regional. they are in Costco in southern California. in fact there was a big coupon sent out specifically for Costco big pack.

Their 10-pack frozen burger is a very popular item at costco.
Beyond Meat is currently in the Chasm of the product cycle. If they can manage their cash burn and survive as a company, they will come out as the strongest company in the space.
