At Visa’s command center in Virginia, they monitor 76,000 transactions a second across more than 200 countries, facing off against hackers and fraudsters determined to steal money. The technology is powered by artificial intelligence. NBC News’ Tom Costello visited the center and explains more.

fortunately the card got flagged and stopped working as well as it exceeded the amount in the account and even if the charge would have made it past the visa fraud detection to the bank my bank would have probably would deny the charges and the fraudulent charge came from a starlink internet connection.

No, human have a bias when they trained the AI. Don’t blame a machine for a human shortcoming.
That logic doesnt make sense if we are giving the machine that much power given it can learn from biased data.
I remember recently that there were a bunch of these types of bank scams where they knew what bank you had somehow. Same with Cable/Internet providers and cell phone companies. Even looking at the example, somehow the scammers knew that he used Navy Federal.
