I think Hybrid is the way to go. EV just doesn’t cut it when it takes so long to charge and you also run the risk of those chargers being broken, offline etc.
Most people drive their car home and then plug it in. Remote charging is relatively rare.

@@inguyen2003 actually what you and people don’t know is that, there are more ev producers in China, and therefore BYD periorirty is not to compete with Tesla alone but with all Chinese EVs
common sense would tell you the best way to rollout infrastructure is to put charging stations in existing gas stations. This way if it’s broken, somebody is there to arrange repairs. It’s an additional revenue stream for the gas stations. Who in their right mind though that they should build a bunch of unmanned charging station away from all the gas stations?

The global ev market is 8 to 10 trillion dollars by the end of the decade. if we do not adopt and adapt the chinese companies will dominate the global south markets 85% of the global population. That is a huge market and American companies will lose this huge trillion dollar market.

BYD has more advanced battery technology, Tesla has an advantage with their numerous chargers, the enormous expense of repairing an EV in the event of a 5mph collision could be reduced by not using so many sensors and cameras, something more rudimentary, a Beetle VW of EVs but with good range , and extra protection for the battery a user friendly EV with a steering wheel that demands a driver, its minus 40 in Scandinavia now I doubt an EV will even work in such weather ,so that’s something to consider.
