😂😂😂,😢😢😢😮
I wonder if he wanted to be buried.
Ashes to Ashes I guess
So do they get a refund for the cremation and urn?
Who was cremated ?? Glad he is alive. I like the urn, very pretty.
😢❤
My family Sister and her now deceased as of April 1, Day. XX Husband. Treated me like that Then he died of congestive heart failure they tell you but he was wanking too hard. 🕊️ ✌️
Crazy
Two years ago we were notified that my little sister had passed away from an overdose. She lived out of state and didn’t have a phone so we only talked to her when she called. Which could be long periods of silence. At the time of the notification it was over 6 months since she called. 12hrs after we were notified she called us. It was a very surreal feeling. Turns out the girl they found had my sister’s identification. The medical examiner didn’t fingerprint. I assumed that’s the first thing that would happen.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even know who the person actually is.
Lol 💁🏾♀️🤣 America lol unbelievable
In Kansas, my temp Paper DL has a picture of such poor quality, i look like someone dragged out of a frozen body of water. I wonder if Oregon uses the same poor quality for temp shots.
Crazy thing is they only care when they passed away but when they’re still alive… not one person check up on them. Not to mention they didn’t have time IDing the body…..tell you a lot.
Multi identifiers have been common practice for decades. Its unacceptable that this even happened. They were too quick to ID the deceased and now their stupid, (completely avoidable) mistake has caused much pain to a lot of people..
Great Christmas gift!
Well, every rose has its thorn.
“Hi, I’m sorry to inform you, but your loved one died months ago and was believed to be someone else in a mixup. The other family has your loved one’s ashes still.” 🖐🎤
What good would fingerprints do? I assume the body they found was decomposed beyond recognition. Or they M.E. was too lazy to run dental records.
This is a demon rat democrat state
Sounds like law enforcement just automatically deemed it an N.H.I..
Time to sue for mental anguish.
Also, since he was an organ donor on the correct driver’s license, did they give Mr John Doe’s organs away?
I cant with those eyelashes. I can’t even look at them lol.
she’s pretty but those eyelashes make her look like Snuffaluffagus
Speechless on this one.
WTH so for 3 months of having some stranger’s ashes in their home?! This is Gawd awful!
Imagine trying ot get your death certificate revoked so that you can live your life – The city is liable for all lost potential income
Live to be a burden another day.
Incompetent government.
Ok. So, who’s loved one has been in their home all this time?? That’s another family with no answers.
Pretty easy to figure out. Both dudes are junkies. One junkie ripped off the other Junkie and then died.
Would it be tacky to ask the deceased guys family for a reimbursement for the swanky ⚱️
People try to steal IDs of people they look like, so they can reasonably present themselves as that person, and drug use can drastically alter the way someone looks. Even a family member could misidentify someone in a situation like that. Considering it was an overdose and dude was in rehab, maybe he’s a known drug user in that area already so when people saw somebody that kinda looked right and had the ID it was an easy mistake to make. They definitely should use other methods to confirm if possible but sometimes that’s just not an option. Some might say fingerprints but if he had never had his prints recorded before then that’s no good. DNA would be the best but you still need something to compare it to.
Drug overdose in a parking lot in Origen? No way!
My family has been through the same thing after Hurricane Katrina
That’s just as bad as amputating the wrong arm/leg. Crazy!!!
PS: Yes, I know, at least with an amputation, the person is still alive. But still..
I’m guessing the dead guy looked very similar to Tyler- which is why he kept the stolen ID or why he stole it in the first place, because he could pass for Tyler. So the police were not way off in believing the ID was reliable.
But still….seeing as a drug OD in a parking lot is likely to be someone with a chaotic lifestyle, you would check, right? And what sort of family cremate a body none of them saw- to check it was the right guy when you have a drug addicted relative living in chaos who, might get their ID stolen? And… he was in rehab but never called…. that tells you a lot about this family…..
The truth is…they are not half as advanced as they would like you to think they are.
All the better to control you with.
Who’s in the jar?
What was the individual that passed away doing with his ID credentials? 🤔
So he got robbed and the robber overdosed 😂😂😂😂😂 or whaaat
Well, I feel horrible for the man’s family that did pass away, but what a wonderful thing for this family. I’m so glad he was alive and well, and hopefully after months of treatment, on the right path for his second chance at life. It could easily have been him. 🫶🏻
That crematorium, cremated someone without knowing who it was 😂 “Oregon” trafficking
I’m just happy they admitted the mistake and changed policy for it. Rare.
Dang that’s wild! I needed 2 forms of ID for my library card.
Maybe this wouldnt happen if keep in touch with family? They really dont care it seems.
Sue the hospital for emotional damages
um, no one was available virtually? they couldn’t do a DNA test?
even with a permanent ID, it could be stolen…need to confirm ID another way
So.. the ashes belonged to a guy that had the wallet of a man the was just released from months of rehab .. there’s a story in there 👍😎✊
My boy pulled a Tupac from rehab 😂 glad he still here doe
This is probably the most surreal crap for that dude. He now knows what would’ve happened as a result of his overdose. If anyone had a recording, that’d be absolutely bonkers to experience.
bro resurrected from the urn?
The man who died must’ve stolen your cousin’s wallet. 😐
Who authorized the cremation? Should not that be requested by the family?
With that name and a tattoo on her neck. We know what kind of family they have.
Ignorant much?
Sounds like a bunch of diversity hires might be running the place,,,,
Sounds like a big part of that was laziness and incompetence.
Who is in the urn??
She didn’t say she was happy he was alive ???
I hope this young adult will leave drug rehab and have a great life and spend a lot of time with a family who loves him!
So, how do they KNOW know who is in that urn? I mean, dna can’t be done. Did they not have someone visually ID the body?
“FINGER PRINTS”..? What id the remains are burnt in an accident? Clearly they are behind the eight ball still.
That’s terrible. I’ve seen people and go “oh my gosh, there’s Reuban!” and then remember he’s dead. I remember someone telling me about it happening to them and thinking “how do you forget they’re dead?” But the good memories and they live on, it seems.
Sounds like a skin walker…
Lol i’m currently looking at my urn , I leaned in close and said are are you really my son😅 or are you some accident😅 hahaha i’ve always wondered if they actually gave me my son’s remains or if it was some mixup. Because he was an infant. And I got a huge bag back . I always wondered how a baby could make that much dust….. I don’t know now
Holy crap! So sad for both families.
This is how news tries to hook you into watching more news. 😢 By keeping you wondering why the body was carrying Tyler’s identification. It’s a common tactic to keep users glued to the net searching for more clues. 😢😢😢
And in breaking news: John has just discovered that television stations care about ratings and profit 😂😂
GROSS NEGLIGENCE.
Listen, you got a spectacular gift that no one ever sees; the resurrection of a dead relative! And, you got this gift right around the holidays! Be grateful and just smile!
This is soooooo shady. Why was that dude carrying his id? Why did that guy die from a drug over dose while the actual guy was in rehab? What are the odds that happens at the same time? Something isn’t adding up.
So they dont think everyone needs a finger print check just to be sure 🤷🏽♀️
Bro should have just gone to mexico and came back as a “migrant” then gotten tons of free stuff and benefits American citizens can’t even get.
If the dead man who was in possession of Tyler’s ID was in illegal possession of it then his name should be put out there.
So you didn’t show up to the ME to identify the body because you were too busy? And you’re confused how they got mixed up? This wasn’t even a mistake. How else could they identify the body? He likely did not have his DNA, finger prints, or dental records in the system. And seeing as his family is “too busy” to even go see him at the morgue, I don’t see what else they could’ve done but assume his ID was correct.
I’m so dumbfounded with the way death is handled. I honestly wonder how many gangs or mobs killed someone and placed someone elses ID on the body.
Unbelievable a man does this and they have all the evidence they need on camera and hes walking the street. Hopefully once trial is over this guy doeant ever get out.
Wow! Just wow!!!!!
How could this even happen?????
It’s too bad she will have to deal with his death twice because he will relapse
I feel it’s the lack of communication also, on both the family & morgue part. The family should’ve went and seen was it actually their family being cremated.. IF NOT THEN WHO IS IT ????
This is what I do at my job, handle and place cremated remains. I’ve always said that once you’ve been cremated you can’t ID the body anymore, if a mistake was made, and no DNA either, to quote Burt Lancaster’s character from the 1955 film “The Rose Tattoo”; “Everything is burned clean away”.
I lost a cousin to addiction. I had talked to him a month before and I didn’t even know he was an addict. The whole town showed up at the funeral like he was a celebrity. It was all family and friends. The whole thing felt unreal. He was only 2 yrs older than me.
That family whose loved one was cremated needs to sue whoever is responsible for the body mix up. Many people don’t want their loved ones cremated. In fact, in some states, you need your spouse’s signature to be cremated after your death. Even your own adult children can’t have you cremated if you’re currently married. It’s the legal right of the spouse.
People can’t let their families know they are in long term rehab treatment?
So sad for the confusion
This world is crazy.
Who did they have then?
A woman from the nursing home called a said my great grandmothers husband died it was a Saturday morning everyone was happy and we all were going to get together and grill out and celebrate that evil man was gone!!! The day went on and we were having a great time. Nobody thought to check the voice mail and around 8pm my aunt did for some reason. It was the nursing home saying so sorry that a nurse quit because of him and thought that calling us and saying he was dead to try and hurt his family in some kinda way idk. But yea the old evil man live 8 more years😂
That’s all they do to verify someone ? Check their wallet? That’s all?
Yes that must have been a shock. He’s back from the dead in her mind I would think. I am happy for her but very sad for the other family. I hope it gets all sorted out.
Almost a movie plot….
Jesus😳
I dunno. I kind of feel like someone had to “disappear” someone. I do hope that her cousin makes it out of addiction and back into life. His Mom would want that.
Remain anonymous 🙄 nope! That’s just because they don’t know who it was 😢
Sad for both families.
How do they know who the other person is though if they cremated them? I feel like they don’t know who it is and they just said the other family wanted to remain quiet because they didn’t know who the person was.
Uhhh makes perfect sense. Random body has ID. They are gonna go off that ID. Dead bodies quickly do not always have to look like the last time you saw them. So I bet this happens plenty.
Hello!!! No picture, take some fingerprints just to be sure… No picture, get a DNA sample, just to be sure… USE Professional Common Sense… Morons… Wow!!!
Sadly it’s because addicts are viewed as “less than” by police and medical. 😢
Can’t believe fingerprints weren’t used for matching/confirmation. With all the theft surroundimg ppl in his unfortunate situation, having a wallett does not guarantee that’s who it is.
Someone at the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office is going to lose their job, I’d wager.
wallet thief ??
Everyone should have fingerprints done for positive identification, especially if they’re going to be cremated and the family cannot view the body. There are too many criminals out here. Stealing people’s identity and getting fake I d’s made as well as stealing people’s wallets. If I happened to be holding my daughter’s ID for her. Because she didn’t bring her purse, that doesn’t mean that i’m her. As far as the lady in this video goes how ungrateful can you be? She has a second chance to spend time with her cousin Who was in rehab getting himself clean. And instead of saying thank you for my cousin not being dead And giving our family more time with him to enjoy him she’s complaining. She has no right to speak for that other family or even mention them because They obviously didn’t want to be in the news But because she’s so selfish and so negative she just has to say That she can’t imagine what they’re feeling. Well she’s right, and it’s none of her business because she doesn’t know their circumstances.
She says that the deceased had her cousin’s personal details. How on earth did he get hold of those?
