In Chicago, owners of electric vehicles waited hours at charging stations after car batteries died rapidly. The South faces record-low temperatures. Nashville saw more snowfall in a single day than what’s typical for the entire year. NBC’s Erin McLaughlin reports on how more snow is expected to hit the Northeast this week.

Dress in layers, get a Below Zero sleeping bag or two in case power goes out, stay inside , to help insulate windows the Farmers Almanac recommends buying a big roll of bubble wrap, cut it to fit windows. Spray water on bubble wrap and apply to your window ,bubble side facing out! The Farmers Almanac has tons of great tips for household and health! Just a suggestion! Keep warm , wear hat and gloves , get a pair of Yak- Tacks to put on shoes / boots .Prevents falls! Falling in the USA is expensive especially Medical costs! Mt. climbers use Yak- Tracks! Drink hot tea ! And remember Spring will be coming shortly! 🤗

Loving my GREEN Lifestyle ! Retired Teacher here! I ditched my 18 year old car February 8,2023! I have been Carless since then! I am fortunate to be able to walk most places! A friend drives me to the market twice a month . I treat her to lunch and give her my Gas points ! She has saved $1.20 gallon a few times! I didn’t have to dig my car out of the snow, I haven’t bought a single gallon of gas since February 8,last year, no car insurance , no car registration fees, no oil changes , no new tires ! The savings in time and money are endless!I ditched Cable TV in 1986-87 , my Graduate school year so no cable bill for years! I tell people I am “Downwardly MOBILE”!
