Cowards officers.
The concept of individualism is generally not desired, promoted, encouraged or even allowed by politicians who make up what is called our “government”. Sheep who do not question authority are easier to lead. Our planets are held in orbit by tension. Obedience is a good concept when the leaders are good. But when soldiers, officers and citizens blindly obey incompetent leadership, bad stuff happens. No doubt many of the officers that day were inwardly questioning inaction. Hopefully the report sheds some light on the LE “culture” that allowed this to happen. Which was essentially governmental restriction of the 1st amendment free speech rights of the officers that day. Citizens carrying guns is not a magical cure for evil people with guns, but if the government will not protect citizens, it is up to the citizens. No doubt citizens with guns would have been stopped by LE from entering the building in an effort to protect the children. And let us not forget that the Supreme Court has ruled that LE is not legally required to protect us. While it is usually a big mess, the concept of government by the people, of the people and for the people is still better than being sheep.
