#AlaskaAirlines #Plane #Boeing
Whatever this Alaska CEO said here but he again ordered a huge number of Boeing planes after this incident.
Their statements are just eye wash.
What are the odds that seat would have been one of the 7 unfilled out of 180? I wonder if they knew there was a problem with the plugs and sold those seats last hoping they’d be empty in case something went wrong.
Rubbish. They wouldn’t fly the aircraft if they knew there was a problem. The loss of the aircraft with crew and passengers would be too much of a risk financially. Your tinfoil hat isn’t working properly.
Also in the news: many loose screws found at Boeing leadership
Women built them
Make the alaska CEO Boeings CEO bahaha
I don’t think I’ll have faith in true ownership of change for safety and quality till the Boeing high ups moves back to Seattle to stay very close to their engineers and production.
Only one group of people to blame . The greedy ‘CEO and the board. Of directors. Get it done and get it done fast
If the Loose bolt were there, it would grounded the Entire MAX 9, Unless the MAX 9 is Fully inspection. maybe, it will find the answers there
Wasn’t Alaska airlines the one that didn’t want to service the actuators in their MD80s resulting in a crash in 2000? I am asking, but really I am telling you. SCALE DOWN PEOPLE. If the control is lost, just scale down.
Boeing trace every bolts and nuts torque by digitally. Where is these logs?
I am not sure what is the cause of this. Is it because they fired all the good workers and now whoever stayed to work under horrible conditions is bound to not do a good job, or is it that they trying to cut cost with every new plane using worse and worse parts? Or is it both? Because 737 has been in production for half a century, one would think they know how to build them by now.
There were issues with pressurising with the aircraft that had its door blown off and Alaska knew about it, so could those seats have been kept free in case of an issue like this…..
Remember when Boeing moved production to South Carolina so they can pay workers minimum wage….. I do.
#TeamAirbus
Those diversity mechanics are doing a bang up job I tell you.
A brand new plane.
The Alaska Airlines CEO is just deflecting blame.
Just like Ethiopian Airlines did when they tampered with their maintenance documents.
Alaska Airlines Maintenance could have easily not done the job correctly.
Never forget Alaska Airlines Flight 261. R.I.P.
It sounds like someone working at Boeing is purposely isn’t tightening the bolts while it’s being made.
Chinese (American worker) spy being paid to do this?
“If it’s a Boeing, I am not going”
Boeing: Profits before people
I wonder if loose bolts were found on recent assembly lines?
When Boeing left Seattle for Chicago, it was clear short term profits and stock buybacks were the priority, not quality.
The Russian MC-21-300 Airliner is the Best single aisle Aircraft being built today
no one was sitting there for a reason they knew it was defective that’s not luck by any means, why was the plane allowed to fly after several compression error warning lights?
Loose bolts are very bad, but shouldn’t be the blowout as long as the castle nut and cotter pin are in place. Unless the pins are gone too. Then thats catastrophic.
Conservatives blamed the pilot. Now we know it was the plane…. again! The damage is done even though she landed the plane safely. They acted like the pilot was someone that started yesterday. Thanks conservatives for more damaging propaganda now the actual facts will only put the plane back in the air but leave the pilot and others of the group targeted with the needless fallout.
a news team in Australia did a segment re Boeing sun contractor who was making the ribs for the Max, they werent fitting together, so Quality assurance went to investigate, Saw poor work where precise holes were just hand drilled. , yet the company owner kicked them out. On telling Boeing the Quality investigators were canned instead of the contractor. Also, If an issue is found out of country, Boeing etc dont even open the email of the concern. Not required we heard.
These companies want cheap labor and expect everything to come out perfect. They get what they pay for.
Closest thing to a submarine with a screen door.🤪
‘We found many loose bolts on many planes’ … what intelligent human would say that on video even when true – dumb 🤷♂️🤪👍 bye bye Boeing
This is because Boeing manufacturer team it’s not diverse enough
Thats the American way. Employes that don’t perform and meet their targets are often sacked so they are under pressure. In a safety industry that is bad I think it’s the managers that should have safety drilled in not targets to get their bonuses/promotion etc. Any person that raises safety concerns should have proper protection from any come backs in fact they should get a bonus.
It’s a duopoly… What did you expect?
Boeing, stop apologising just for disruption. Apologise for almost killing people!!! Your safety record is horrific as your managers and execs seem to cut corners to make more profit. 🤑🤑🤑
Spirits seats might be hard but they are bolted down at least.
Most big company CEO’s would be described as, “clinically-diagnosed sociopaths”.
He says “Boeing is better than this,” but they’re not.
They are as good as they are, and that’s not very good.
The bolts on the door plugs acted as pins and did not have to be tight as long as they didn’t fall out. The cotter pins kept them from falling out. If the bolts were missing it means they were never installed and springs had been holding the door in place.
DEI strikes again
Is this the new meaning of “Boeing products” or “made in the US”? Look for loose screws from either.
Just deserts for Boeing bringing in a bunch of financial people to run an engineering company.
See the CEO should have read the owners manual from Boeing.
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Boeing 737 Max 9 plane. Some assembly required.
Keep giving bonuses to the bosses and less to the workers! That will help problems 🙂
And if that wasn’t done, what else wasn’t done? What other parts are missing?
this is not alaska airlines fault, and i think if it was possible to swap to airbus, they will do but it’s too complicated (since they operated 737 for many years) and costs to retrain all pilots to airbus…
So Alaska airlines maintenance crew isn’t supposed to check for loose bolts?
@@Needglory23 yeah but I don’t think its on normal schedule to do it after what, 200 hours
Self certification cannot work with the ever present American greed.
Loose bolts?? I’m supposed to pay money to fly on a plane that’s not safe?
Stop DEI and you won’t have this problem
People need to go to jail for this. This is criminal negligence.
How many more people have to die before the government takes over this company, maybe just as little as 49% government control.
Win-win situation. If you are on the Board of Boeing you get paid millions… if you’re on board a Boeing you get instant ventilation! No more stuffy air on a 737 Max!
So much for a duplicate inspection…
Math quiz time.
If I double (down) on something that is apparently “zero”, how much quality do I get.
Having a one day ‘safety stand-down’ when the front falls off is more theatrics than safety. How about a 90 day stand-down where the FAA inspects every process and procedure with every worker and in which management and executives spend all day observing.
I found this comprehensive detail of what is being found with this door plug. Very interesting. https://youtu.be/XhRYqvCAX_k?si=p1O7pEnpTlmY6C0u
They had a safety stand down for all the employees to blame them for this when the employees were trying to tell management, they were problems and they got fired for it. I’m sure that all the management took the day off in Virginia headquarters and went to the golf course. and then congratulated themselves on taking care of the problem.
remember it at the polls when voting .. nikki nemrada haley who had to change her name to appeal to the masses as a white woman
Use RED LOC-TITE threadlocker on all aeroplane bolts!!!
Any loose nuts found on the Rainbow plane?
Look at the type of people that work on these places. 100% total dirtbags
Diversity, equity and inclusion at its finest. Look people, if you insist upon hiring unqualified people so that you can claim to not be racist, a lot of you are going to have to pay the price with your lives. When you are dead, you can feel morally superior because you only hire based upon quotas and skin color. God will be proud of your sacrifice.
How’s the profit motive over quality working for ya?
My bf sent me a video from the plane and it looks like 2 bolts were missing.
If it’s a Boeing, I’m not going!
Why aren’t door plugs (bolts) other doors and other compartments inspected on a regular basis anyways
This is what happens when Employers what to do things the cheap way.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion VS Quality Control Management
1:0
Outrageous that the failed door plug would be caused by MISSING bolts. However, the accusations of “loose” bolts sounds suspiciously political. All the detailed info shows that the bolts do not need to be torqued because they are merely like a padlock, which can be “loose” as long as it stops movement of a latch. These bolts cannot continue to loosen because they have castellated nuts with a pin that prevents the nut from turning.
It’s the same refrain with Boeing: Cut quality, on time delivery over all else, then malfunction and safety impact. When are they going to put quality above all else? They must realize that this ‘escapement’ narrowly averted a series of major safety problems. Or maybe not…
Every time you need to pray when onboard a Boeing plane
Quality of product IS quality of culture
Alaska Airlines – “Blowing the Doors off the Competition.”
After the mcas incidents Boeing is looking pretty vulnerable
People need canned over this.
It’s about time you removed the the word “proudly” from your “proudly all Boeing” paint job as your association with Boeing should not fill you with pride.
Yeah ok, thats why they’re already cleared and back flying.
Im sure people in the back were like ” He’d played with the blinds too many times… you see that?”
Many loose bolts ? Do planes with loose bolts sell cheaper ? They should. If you are going to fly good luck climbing aboard a plane that may have “Many Loose bolts.”
In the end, it was Boeing, not Spirit…
Someone suggested the WiFi contracted removed the bolts to fit the fuselage WiFi antenna
Problem is this issue has been found now, but what else is waiting around the corner, really the whole aircraft needs thoroughly checking Boeings work.
If Alaska Airlines et al. cared about public safety at all, they would never even have bought a 737 Max jet. Blind Freddy and his inbred cousin Cletus could have told them back when those two 737 Max jets crashed that it was a very, very bad idea but the massively salaried executives bought them anyway. This is panic and damage control. Boeing needs to be abandoned.
Yea, An Accountant running a Major Aircraft Manufacturing Facility.. Sounds Like the Bean Counter is doing a Great Job…Getting Better is a way out, Should have never gotten to the point of Getting Better on Quality and Quality Control
The results for cost cutting for more profit! Boeing Max plane should have never flown again!
How many people have been put behind bars??? We know, zero
Boeing need to close down the 737 Max line. It’s a decades old design at the outer limits of what can be done to squeeze better performance from it. They should have gone to a clean sheet design for their short haul single aisle 15 years ago. It has had its day
This is what happens when you let bean counting thieves run an engineering intensive company.
American made 😂
The Boeing staff has probably been treated so poorly for the past 10 years by management! Boeing new name is booing
I guess it’s Boeing again.
Boeing can be deeply sorry as much as they want this is unacceptable! . This is what you get when a greedy boardroom and junkies on an assembly line come together.
As the CEO of Boeing, I extend my most sincere of apologies for the extremely small numbers of defective Boeing 737 Max Series jets. Rest assured that the 737 Max series of jets are so safe that they are among the highest build quality and highest demand aircraft in the cosmos. The Boeing 737 Max series in such high demand, I felt compelled to contribute my own personal 737Max series jet to help obtain the production numbers needed for this extremely safe and in-demand jet. I, the CEO of Boeing, am willing to forego the amazing safety and creature comforts of the venerable Boeing 737 Max have leased a lowly Airbus A320 for my personal air transportation needs, proving I am not above humbling myself in an Airbus A320 in order to meet demands for only the best commercial jet series known to man, the Boeing 737 Max series line of passenger jets!
So they had two new planes down and still doing BS. And now airlines are doing FAA job and inspect the planes.
#1 Boing should be held accountable
#2 FAA should be held accountable
If it’s corporate, safety is negatable or negotiable because their bottom line and shareholders and well-paid CEOs are all that matters.
Do they HONESTLY give their inspectors & mechanics enough time to do a proper job?
Boeing needs to conduct quality control checks for all aircraft, or else everyone will switch to Airbus.
The only reason why airlines and the american public have not given up on Boeing already is because this “it’s american” notion. But this is a real safety issue, time and again. I don’t say destroy Boeing, but maybe they need that existential fear to really clean house. If everyone switched new orders to Airbus for a while, shareholders of Boeing would riot and the company would reform. Maybe becoming better than ever before. Stop cuddling this company, america!
Airbus ftw
Hard to believe that Boeing workers could mess up tightening so many bolts that failed. It’s just crazy to think so. It seems more like a design issue. Those bolts were tightened to spec but did some reason, loosened throughout the short time they flew.
I never met an accountant who could use a torque wrench !
theres a lot of example of how rubbish american product
Boeing is dying.
