The show is fantastic!
I tried watching it. Was a snooze fest imo
@@VincentAnzaloneif you think a show portraying dogfights in almost every episode is snoozefest, idk what you find interesting.
@@VincentAnzalone oh brother.. this guy stinks
@@Cucuy222 – To be fair, the first four episodes were not as good as they should have been. The fifth episode was excellent with a tighter script and better direction.
@@VincentAnzalone Ooh look a guy trying to be funny and wanted some attention Hahahaha go to a circus mate. You can always keep your jokes to yourself and not be trying watch a single episode of this show i dare ya.
Spectacular show.
Army Air Corps
Army Air Force by 1943.
The air force didn’t exist in the Second World War
Army Air Corps.
I recently finished reading the book & it was EXCELLENT. While we didn’t have anyone in the family in the Air Corp in WWII we did have one in the Navy & one in the Marines. I feel truly fortunate to have heard some of their stories first hand, we miss you Brownie & Norm. Thanks to all now serving, those who have, and those who will in the future. FLY NAVY!!!
What’s the name of the book. I checked for it on Amazon and couldn’t find anything
Masters of the Air by Donald Miller
@@Mark-bq2of Thanks. I have the book Masters of the Air. I was wondering what her grandpas (Capt Frank Murphy’s) book was called. They keep talking about it but never mention the name. I. think I found it. It’s called “Luck of the Draw”.
😂😂 Mazza has become a kept husband.. Good for you kid
Loving the show. After seeing Band of Brothers and The Pacific, I had wished for a Spielberg/Hanks miniseries on the air combat aspect of WWII, and it’s been pretty much granted.
awesome
She is also a descendant of Pavlos Melas. You might not be familiar with him, but he is one of the biggest heroes in modern Greek history. He was of from Epirus and famous for the Balkan Wars and the liberation of Macedonia. Maybe Tom Hanks can make a movie about him next!
Great story. Truly, the circle of life.
Thank you for helping keep these men’s legacy alive!
Sometimes hard to watch because of the attrition of the air crews but still spellbinding to watch!
My grandfather was the pilot of a B-24 Liberator. He referred to it as the Army Air Corp. He actually arranged for us to fly in a restored B-24, through the Collings Foundation. Regardless, these men had steel nerves!
I’ve flown on Witchcraft through the Collings Foundation as well. Incredible 30 minutes. Grandfather flew 50 missions in 24s.
Jimmy Stewart was also a B-24 pilot with the 8th, I always knew he flew with the 8th before reading the book. But I never knew he flew as many combat missions as he did or that he eventually became squadron commander, and also flew combat in Vietnam. I did know he retired as an Air Force General though. There are some pictures of him in the book as well as some other people. Won’t say anymore in case you want to read it, GREAT BOOK. FLY NAVY!!!
Typical click bait by MSM. “Inside the making” then talking about real life people the characters are based on, and talking about what the show is about. False advertising really needs to include clickbait titles.
too bad we have multiple streaming services… this series will pass me unseen. Not going to pay another of those services
Everyone needs to watch, first episode is slow, but it gets very good.
I believe Steven Spielberg’s father was either a navigator or radio operator on B-25’s in the CBI theater. There is a book out on Mr Murphy’s experiences (Luck of the draw) that is also on my list to read. FLY NAVY!!!
Excellent series!
THE U.S. AIR FORCE WAS FOUNDED In 1947 the United States Army Air Corps is the Armed Force of WW II
Army air corps. Not air force
would so love to see this but its only on streaming !! wish it would be available on DVD in the future or in the theater many of my friends feel the same
