Amidst the devastation of conflict in Gaza, displaced Palestinians share heartbreaking stories of losing everything, including basic necessities like shoes. With limited resources and no income, they face immense challenges in rebuilding their lives.
Many people in the Gaza Strip are forced to walk barefoot or in worn-out shoes as a result of the devastation and poverty exacerbated by the war. Some were forced to flee in a hurry, leaving their home with just the clothes they were wearing.
One husband and wife take turns wearing the same worn-out shoes.
“This is my husband’s sandals. We alternate. Whoever is out puts them on,” the woman said.
“I cannot even find a second-hand pair of shoes. I cannot afford to feed my child, let alone buy shoes,” she added. “We ran for our lives and all our possessions, if not destroyed, were left behind. Now, [we are] displaced in the south, empty-handed.”
A cobbler in the Strip said that at the beginning of the war, people in Gaza still had some money for shoe repairs. Now, people have run out of all means, and he can’t find materials to fix any orders he does get.
“It is a plight. A misery,” he said.

@@arturferrao7353I read the same, it was IDF tanks that killed their own people in the kibbutz settlement and unedited video showed IDF tanks pounding their own people. In addition to that the IDF killed 80 of their own people which they themselves admitted to.
The hostages that were released by Hamas reported that they were treated humanely and respectfully. They were never beaten or starved, unlike IDF does to the Palestinians including children. There are hundreds of videos that thankfully were released to the public to prove how badly they were shackled and beaten, denied food, water and sleep.
When I saw those interviews and videos, I changed my mind about IDF who I always thought were noble fighters, but nothing could be further from the truth. I daresay, the IDF has proven over and over how barbaric they really are compared to Palestinian Resistance who IMO have the birthright to defend themselves, their homes and their lives. 75 years of brutal occupation has to be the worse living conditions.
*There is one verifiable reality I have learned; governments spread propaganda to fool the public. So I watch what they do.* And what I see is Israel is starving innocent civilians, women, children, the elders. The Palestinian Fishermen’s Syndicate said the Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets and used water cannons against the fishing boats on the Al-Waha and As-Sudaniyya shores, northwest of Gaza City.
The Syndicate added that the navy tried to capsize the fishing boats before chasing them to the shore.
