The situation is really complicated especially since fighting is going on. If Hamas had just a little bit of sympathy for the civilians they would withdraw from Gaza. That would make it easier to force Israel to withdraw. Maybe a UN mission consisting of other arabian countries assisted by a few european or asian countries could then keep order for a while until democratic elections could be hold?
