Police announced that they had recovered the body of Riley Strain in the Cumberland River not far from downtown Nashville, saying that “no foul play-related trauma was observed.” The University of Missouri student disappeared on the night of March 8 after spending time at a Nashville bar. Yet another victim of the Smiley Face Killers. RIP
What’s smiley face killer?
I thought the EXACT same thing. Like, I guarantee he’ll be found in a body of water…
I live in Denver, and we had a college-aged kid also go missing not long ago. I was telling my co-workers when they were showing his pic on the local news about the Smiley Face Killer theory, and they took it with a grain of salt. Then I told them “watch- they’ll find this young guy dead in a body of shallow water in the next several days” and sure enough, a week later they did.
Creepy stuff for sure- the weirdest one I can remember reading/hearing about was the case of Todd Geib.
You mean off duty cops? Right!
this is tragic. im outraged that no one searched the rivers for him. had they done it immediately he wouldve had a possible chance of surviving.
Idk… drowning happens in minutes. It’s just sad that noone was there to make sure he was ok when he got kicked out of the bar.
He was clearly staggering. Where were his Fraternity
“Brothers “😳
No one knew he was even missing until one of his frat bros called the police the next morning.
My heart goes out to his family and friends😔❤️I feel horrible for everyone that goes through stuff like this
My next door neighbor purposely searched out a party school university party school. She got skinny, unchased, dyed her hair orange, tattooed, up dropped out.
School is so important . And life is so short. There’s no room for partying in colleges
Wasting time searching for drunkie
Because that’s helpful.
@@aliciaw2723
It more helpful to get a degree. Instead he joined a bunch of chumps!
B.S
Bet the autopsy shows a head injury. Sounds like the bouncer messed him up before throwing him out. Drunk with a concussion isn’t a good mix.
You don’t know that and it’s slanderous to put it in writing ☠️
A mag light probably. Standard issue.
God rest your soul my friend. Parties alcohol fraternities colleges just don’t mix. Shame our culture is like that
College kids need to do the buddy system and never ever let a friend leave the bar alone
Unfortunately that only works when you have responsible college students doing the buddy system with you. When alcohol is involved, it’s rare that anyone is going to be responsible.
@@GameChanger597right if he was not drunk he will probably still be alive
LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!
My heart goes out to them, I was really hoping they would find him safe 😢
RIP, my dear.💐
My deepest condolences to his family.
Some friends.
Blessed are those that mourn for they will be comforted
Amen. Thank you Jesus for Your words of comfort, peace and power ❤
RIP young man. May God Bless you and your family!
Why was he alone? We were always in packs in the 70s 80s
I’m sorry this happened. Rest easy Riley! ❤
How do you go out of town with people and not stick together???? If he was escorted out of the bar his frat brothers were supposed to leave with him. They could have finished drinks at the hotel. AM I MY BROTHERS KEEPER??? NO!!! 😢😢😢😢
That’s messed up.
Another young stupid kid wasted his life for a night of revelry & drunkenness! Obviously college doesn’t make them smart & sensible. Just another one for the stats. RIP..
man I knew he was probably going to be in the river so sad…. My condolences for the family….. I’m glad they found him…. Now comes the hard grieving and healing process😢
😮😢😢this is so sad broken my heart so him walking so lonely my condolences to all Family and friends
I’ll bet his autopsy shows he had a serious head injury. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Prayers for Riley’s family and friends.
Sadly i had a feeling… Rip
We all knew he was dead….now starts the silly conspiracy theories …..tho it’s obvious how this happened. Don’t drink….simple as that. It’s literal poison.
My heart goes out to this grieving family! May God comfort them❤️🕊
😢
What a load of FAKE crap
There but for the grace of God goes I. Life is fragile and dangerous.
🙏✝️❤
People acting like the main cause for his death is not alcohol for some reason. Why cant alcohol be blamed for this but if it were any other mind altering substance it would be the main focus of the story?
The fact the police had many interactions and not once escorted his butt back to his hotel knowing he is publicly intoxicated. Wild.
@@lorireed8046So, the cops failed to do their jobs as well.🙄 Typical.
@@lorireed8046Tell me you know nothing about crime rates and how police operate without telling me you know nothing about crime rates and how police operate. Police don’t serve to escort people home. It was the middle of the night, police have way bigger problems than one person being publicly intoxicated. You must be thinking of a taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc. Unfortunately, this situation is mostly the result of excessive alcohol consumption, also a poor choice of “friends”.
The friends will never be able to live with themselves from this fr. They should have known better then to send him home alone in a completely different state. Smh
What makes this kid so special that the media dedicated weeks of coverage? His actions of binge drinking lead to his death. If he had been black you would have blamed him. 🤔
Please don’t drink. It’s a worthless activity. Nothing but trouble. Bars, fights, police, unwanted pregnancies. The list goes on and on.
Okay, take a close look, turn off the volume, do you see any real tears? The msm CONtinues to feed the masses f a k e news in order to harvest your emotions…thry are all dark magicians aka say- tani- ists!
This is why 21 being drinking age is bad. By the time I was 16 I was able to handle being drunk and not do stupid stuff.
If you were drunk, then you were, by definition, doing “stupid stuff.”
@@Cobbsouth no not really.
@@quint2568 yes, really. And if you were drunk at sixteen years old, then you were doubly stupid.
Why are we supposed to feel so bad for this kid? People go missing all the time. Unfortunate but pretty obvious how it could have been avoided.
Condolences for his family. 😢
Autopsy. Could’ve been drugged
goes to show nobody looks out for nobody these days
He was definitely overserved. The ctv footage of him stumbling around town falling down.
Luke Bryan fault
The fraternity’s and their massive amount of drinking alcohol, is the reason I don’t recommend joining any Fraternities to my clients. This is so heartbreaking. 😔
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Sorry but not sorry
💔🙏
Oh well everyone is responsible for themselves. If he got to drunk snd he could not take care of himself that is too bad. No one these days are going to look after you. It the same thing with those 3 guys in K.C. who got high on narcotics and ETOH after the game and his friend left them outside to freeze to death.
God bless him and the family
It is sad that this tragedy happened but another thing I feel no one is talking about is how college kids need to take it easy during happy hour and stop trying to get wasted with their friends, especially with friends like these who don’t look out for you.
Rough and Tragic and terrible to happen, condolences
Crazy how a friendly greeting exchange becomes quite a key moment of the last time. Proves you never know what can happen next.
This is devastating news. Prayers and condolences to his family.
you booze you lose
Police tax dollars are always used on blondes.
RIP young man. My condolences to the family, relatives, and friends.
Attitudes towards alcohol and drinking need to change in this country. Too many people die from alcohol whether it’s driving, drinking, accidents, or long term health problems. The buddy system also needs to be strongly encouraged to prevent things like this along with other potential acts of violence. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends
A frat boy abused alcohol and went off into oblivion. Shocker.
A massive search and rescue was launched for a missing White boy. There’s a cliffhanger.
Why is this still on every one of NBC’s news reports.
one tragedy is a great lesson for us all. never drink and walk alone.
Smiley face???
why would his bank card be separated from his body?
I was always lucky my friends and I always looked out for each other that’s the way it should be
Imagine being fraternity trash
