If you stop fare evasion, you mitigate crime in the subway. It’s that simple! The fact that the MTA has not yet implemented a solution to the fare evasion problem across all stations is ridiculous.

Why the violence is happening: a) Hospitals are throwing out mental health patients who run out of insurance. b) The city is investing too much in cops and not enough in job programs and mental health programs. c) People are stressed out due to global pandemics and lack of jobs, plus global warming.
