Every single person on Earth could be a perfect Christian, and we would still get these strong earthquakes, because our earth has tectonic plates. When too much pressure is built up, and gives way, this sort of thing happens. It won’t just suddenly stop because everyone believes in one religion.

Boy, if the tremors of 7.4 M shook for 2 minutes, That had to be unimaginable. I have lived through my share of California earthquakes for over 3 decades. In 1992, we were Jolted by a violent, loud quake, 7.3 m. It lasted nearly a minute. We had an extremely hard time trying to reach our daughter, on the second floor. We were thrown around while climbing the stairs. There was damage all over; inside and outside. A second separate quake struck nearly four hours later, 6.7m. We were outside sitting by the spa; neighbors came over and we sat, drinking coffee, for fear of going back in the house. We watched in horror as the second quake sent our home nearly off the foundation, before snapping back with a huge noise. That quake finished off what the first quake left behind.
My sympathizes to the affected Taiwanese people, but the US still has hostages in Gaza 6 months later. This report is being used as a distraction to what effects us most: free the hostages NOW
I was in Taipei at the time of this earthquake. It’s about 100 miles away from Hualien. No buildings were damaged , maybe just items fell indoors . I’ve never been so happy the hotel room wasn’t crowded with furniture

Praying for them. The infrastructure does not seem good.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. That’s 1 building out of how many. 1 person only died because of the building leaning over. Not too mention Hualien is at about 10 km from the epicentre of the 1st earthquake. And the fort 2 aftershocks were 6.4 and 6.2 . Most of the countries would have been flattened out by an earthquake of that magnitude.
PS : I was in Taipei when it happened
