The incels are at it again.
Some of them are but some are just fans who are skeptical cuz the other movies that switched out their characters with dark skinned actors did terribly. Not saying representation isn’t bad or anything, I definitely want more diverse castings but diversity shouldn’t be above good writing.
She’s actually so beautiful I really don’t care
What does it matter what role she plays wp have been playing everyone else forever
She can play Rapunzel better than Rapunzel haters
exactly we do not want roles being changed or blackwashed!!!
You obviously do not know how to count. 🤡
Yet you have no problem with white washing.
Who cares? It’s a fictional character. Being that mad only makes you look weird.
Pale people stay mad 🫵🏻🤡
Poor baby blake is crying about his precious fictional princesses
fun nd equality until a white person plays a black role 💀
If you look at the world through red glasses everything is rosey,if you look at the world through blue glasses everything looks blueish, if you look at the world through racist eyes everywhere you look you will see racism 😮
It doesn’t matter what color she is to me I was just a huge Disney fan growing up and would like things to be as accurate as possible, no matter the princess. I was also a Percy Jackson fan that was let down two times if that gives you sum context for me wanting accuracy in childhood favs.
She’s finee!
Meanwhile every movie about Egypt stars white people. 🙄
Egyptian weren’t dark skinned for the most part though? They were tan/olive skin people a lot of which were partially descendents of the Greeks. You’re the one who’s historically misinformed probably because of inaccurate casting in movies and online political memes. They made a cleopatra show where she was black even though we know cleopatra was of Greek blood
@slowazzd2165 He didn’t even say dark skin. He said, “white people.” Lol
Rapunzel has long silky blonde hair and bright green eyes. The reason her hair is this color is the sundrop flower (also where her powers come from and why Mother Gothel kidnapped her in the first place). To change her features would be to change the story… Rapunzel is a German fairy tale. Why would an Indian with brown hair and brown eyes play her in the live-action? I hope this never happens.
Because she has long hair…the point of the story isn’t that Rapunzel is light skinned…it’s that her hair is long. Her natural hair isn’t even blonde in the tangled movie, it’s actually brown. So, anyone can dye their hair blonde because of a flower’s power.
You being this upset about fiction is……weird.
@@soulanstreets222 The point of Rapunzel is not the her hair is long. It is long because mother Gothel believes if she cuts her hair then the powers will be lost (which we later learn is true to some extent). The powers she received from the sundrop flower is the “point.”
Nowhere in my previous comment does the word “light-skin” appear so not entirely sure why you’ve brought skin up… the live action should be similar to the original as 99% of live actions try to do. Why cast an Asian with brown hair and brown eyes to play a role as a European with blonde hair and green eyes?
I am not upset (not sure what made you believe I am) but if I was it’s more weird for you to tell people what to be upset about and to pretend as if you’ve never been upset about anything fiction.
@@MMP000 Rapunzel’s hair is brown.
@@soulanstreets222 For majority of the movie her hair is blonde. At the end of the movie it is brown. You said she has long hair, even went as far to call it “the point” however it is short in the end so does her long hair no longer matter?
@@MMP000 Yes it does…children recognize rapunzel because of her hair…”rapunzel let down your hair”…that IS THE POINT for the audience this story is made for and like I said…she can dye her hair blonde or wear a wig. Rapunzel’s hair is only yellow because of the powers not because she’s light skinned.
She is gorgeous 😍🥰 she could even be an amazing Jazmine also 🤔😳😍
So lets make a movie where seth rogan play snoop dogg it makes no difference right 😂
Idk why these people make it seem like there opposition to this is uncalled for. Like make a spin off and then cast her but dont do this. Its like having an Irish woman play Tiana from princess and the frog
As a Brown guy from India
Even i wouldn’t want to see her playing Rapunzel
Yes because you’re a white skin worshipper. Have you put a ton of whitening product on your skin today?
Get the bleach out of Hollywood!
Let’s talk about whitewashed movies
They don’t wanna hear that.
She’s absolutely beautiful!!! She would make an amazing Rapunzel.
I don’t know why people get so upset saying “she doesn’t look like the character I grew up with” who cares?!
I grew up watching all of the old Disney movies and it doesn’t bother me at all when they change somebody’s race. It actually makes me happy. I want every little kid to be able to see a Disney princess that looks like them!
And the argument that if Disney wants princesses of a different race, then they should just make new characters…. I agree that they should make new characters, but there’s just no reason why we can’t have an Indian repunzle or a black Ariel. What matters is the storyline… the skin color of the actors should be irrelevant. They don’t need to cast somebody who looks exactly like animated character. Especially because when most of those movies were originally made, there was not a fair representation in movies. The majority of all characters were white.
That mermaid movie was a mistake.. There’s SO many amazing black characters any black actor would be proud to play, yet they keep pushing them into.. ginger white people’s roles? #GingerRightsMatter
There’s no reason for racism and Hollywood should stop setting theses actors up for failure rather write stories that suit the people in the part.
Too late.
soon they will target History and change facts about it to please the snowflakes
pocahontas staring wesley snipes as… pocahontas
gaius julius caesar staring Randeep Hooda as…. gaius julius caesar
abraham lincoln staring Halle Barry as…. abraham lincoln…
The blonde hair was just the magic. It wasn’t real. So she could still have blonde hair.
Yt ppl be racist to everybody with a culture 😂 blacks , Hispanics, Indians, Arabs, Asians, Jews, Muslims, Polynesians, Hindu’s, Buddhist, God, 😂😂 then want to colonize every continent in the name of Jesus. Once the poor countries are fed up they will stick together and it’s going to be a scary site.. I hood I’m alive to see it
“Rapunzel rapunzel let down your hair”
Rapunzel: how dare you tell me what to do? I’m a feminist and my pronouns are they them😡don’t gaslight me.😂
White people upset over fictional character. Avantika is beautiful. Give her the role and combat racism
Its not racism people have just been pushed to an edge with how they insist on butchering beloved books and movies with adaptations and remakes
The posts shown in the video are not racist at all, thats ridiculous. Has it gotten so out of hand that now saying “your not rapunzel” is a “racist” comment?
I mean, just look at it a different her from a different dimension.
This doesn’t bother me…
