I support the bill if it requires people who receive 20% or more of their funding from foreign sources to register as a foreign agent. In America Israel is allowed to not register as a foreign agent and can bribe all the politicians they want. Last I checked Israel was considered a foreign nation.

Israel has a similar law, called the “Transparency Law”, which requires NGOs that receive more than 50% of their funding from foreign sources to disclose this information in their publications and communications.
Also, Hungary (a member of the EU) passed a legislation in 2017 that requires NGOs receiving more than a certain threshold of funding from abroad to register as “foreign-funded organizations” and disclose their funding sources.
So why does the EU think the Georgian bill is bad? Just because Russia has a similar law also, or is it because they fund many organizations in Georgia?
