They declared that in it they will also constitute an Arab state and a Jewish state. In 1947 UN proposed a Partition plan which was accepted by the Jews but not by the Arabs. the Partition plan ,Muslim majority areas were for Arab state and Jewish majority areas plus Negev desert for state of Israel. Palestine as a State was first talked about by PLO in 1960s. In 1947 west Bank was absorbed by Jordan and Gaza by Egypt. Alphabet ”p” doesn’t exist in Arabic language, therefore, Palestine as a name could not have been Arabic!
