Unless they are used for short, local deliveries…I predict failure. And don’t even think about using them in the cold areas of the country.
How long does it take to charge???¿???
I don’t care that’s great. I’m happy. The future is here but nothing will be to Peterbilt with a 661 Detroit.
The extremely limited mileage compared to a semi will kill this idea. The charge times will bury it. Let’s drive 500 miles, hope there is a charge station nearby, pull in and charge for 6-7 hours, drive for another 3-4, and then stop and do it again. Let’s take 3 weeks to cross the state of Texas and 3 months to cross the entire country. The idea of EV semis is the stupidest idea. It was not thought up for any reason other than a quick cash grab. There is no world or reality in which an EV semi will ever outperform a diesel semi in any meaningful way whatsoever
The smart thing to do is put some solar panels on top of the tractor trailer so it will collect energy while this running
sorry, i dont take this seriously, do you see how long it took for the cybertruck to come into fruition? not to mention the charging situation…
what’s the average distance of a long distance truck
