Microsoft is now the ‘800-pound gorilla in AI’, according to Alfred Chuang, general partner at Race Capital. He said “50% of the AI market will be highly dominated by them.”
Microsoft is touting new computers with advanced chips designed to run artificial intelligence features of software for Windows, without quickly using up battery life. The company on Monday announced a Surface Laptop and a Surface Pro tablet with a Qualcomm chip that can run some AI tasks without an internet connection.

Open source is going to take over AI. Microsoft is doing themselves a very big disservice in 1000 different ways if you know what I mean.
I hope so. At the moment most popular models are proprietary.
