Kenyans need alot more. I am too old to be Gen Z, but what Kenyans need is alot more. Kenyans don’t need the opposition to replace corruption with more corrupt. Kenyans need accountability, which is nonexistent. People need honest change, and worth for their money which doesn’t exist. In front of my apartments a road is being built, and it is basically a dirt road made of murram, and someone is being overpaid for it. This happens everywhere, and this is how people get rich. We are tired of human ignorance to steal money, when nowadays you can use artificial intelligence to get better results and make sure no money is stolen. Most of Kenya’s budget goes to pay IMF debt, and salaries of overpaid people, which makes no sense. Youth can be used whose skills augmented with artificial intelligence can get better results for cheaper. The minimum wage in Kenya is 15,000 Kenya Shillings. Make the maximum government salary to be 10×15,000 kenya shillings, or 150,000 Kenya Shillings no extra allowances. This will not only lower the wage bill, but not put incentives to greedy people to enter government. Government employees are public servants. Why don’t we pay our police more than politicians who steal? At least police do a duty and keep me safe. Jobs can be created in Government, and the corrupt and greedy can go home and find a new way to make money. Then, why is Kenya getting more debt instead of incentives for going green to get carbon credits to make a model others can follow, like others followed Michael Joseph’s vision of MPESA (mobile money). We have a Geothermal Belt, we have arid regions that are great for solar generation, we already have wondpower. We have electric transport from motorcycle taxis (boda boda), to Busses. Why aren’t we getting carbon credits to pay off debt, and give us an incentive to make a model for African nations. We overpay for gas even if we have petroleum in our own countries due to currency exchange from local currency to dollars. Firing people won’t change the problems we need changed. It’s like putting a bandaid on a gaping wound that needs an operation.
We don’t have police. We have colonial police goons. Yes, we need serious reforms, accountability, and adherence to the rule of laws which currently work only for the rich, I’m afraid 😨

The police chief will have a very difficult task deciding how to perform his duties, being torn between judiciary and executive directives.
